It is a common thing in my log of the day that I dedicate a good part of its content to the ephemeris of the history associated with the date, or that it addresses some current issues of my daily reality, but today the issue of the log goes another way. It happens that everything starts because my brother, whom I invited to the network to participate in the Blogs, has been dedicating himself more seriously than me :) Well, each of us works in his own way, but it happens that he is more detailed and despite the fact that I like to pay attention to the details of coding, word selection and content structuring, he gives a good weight to all that and also to make it look better every time, that's where I've gone down the guard and I have not taken the care that I could have.
Everything I'm telling started because he asked about how to make some section separators in his publications, we both publish in two languages on several occasions, so when he started I passed him in some text files the codes that I use to format them two columns to my posts, but after using it for a while, he tried making them separate into sections within the same post, it works fine for him, and he's been doing it that way for a while now. Now that he is getting his own content presentation aesthetic, he wanted to improve and put a little more work to improve his publications and have a better presentation, that's when he asked me about how to make some dividers with a simple program. , free, legal and that I had it on hand in one of the backups. So to give an answer I started looking and found that I had one, I had downloaded it recently because they had been updating, and the latest versions added interesting things, it was a program that at first I had read that it was focused on being the successor to the old image program 'Paint' within the pre-installed applications of the Windows operating system, but reviewing its history a bit, we see that although the Microsoft company sponsored its creator, he was not a direct worker or a freelancer of the company.
So, I recommended the program because it is like drawing with the old Paint, but with an application that allows you to work with layers, adds the possibility of adding extensions that give effects and other functionalities, which is simple to use and quite intuitive, for so its learning curve is slight from my point of view. Well, that would be what I wanted to share on this calm Wednesday of mine, luckily, despite hearing thunder in the distance, the rain hasn't fallen, and I still have electricity, you have to be happy about that, because in the news I see that there are people from various countries who are going through the same period of storms and hurricanes as my country and the destruction it leaves behind is truly terrible. I can only wish that everything happens, that the material losses are not very serious, that there are no loss of lives and that they can repair everything as quickly as possible.

Es una cosa común en mi registro del día que le dedique buena parte de su contenido a las efemérides de la historia asociada a la fecha, o que aborde algunos temas de actualidad de mi realidad cotidiana, pero hoy la cuestión del registro va por otro camino. Sucede que este día capicúa de la cuenta de días desde que se anunció la #Cuarentena en #Venezuela por esta larga #pandemia de #Covid19, dedico mi registro a comentar sobre un programa con el que voy a comenzar a practicar un poco la elaboración de elementos gráficos para mis publicaciones, hablo de #PaintNET
Sucede que todo comienza porque mi hermano, al que yo invité a la red para que participara en los Blogs, se ha estado dedicando más seriamente que yo :) Bueno, cada uno de nosotros trabaja a su manera, pero sucede que él es más detallista y a pesar de que a mí me gusta poner cuidado en los detales de codificación, selección de palabras y estructuración de contenidos, él le da un buen peso a todo eso y también a que se vea mejor cada vez, allí es en donde yo he bajado la guardia y no he puesto el cuidado que podría tener.
Todo lo que cuento comenzó porque él preguntó sobre como hacer unos separadores de secciones en sus publicaciones, ambos publicamos en dos idiomas en varias ocasiones, así que cuando él comenzó yo le pasé en unos archivos de texto los códigos que yo uso para darle formato de dos columnas a mis publicaciones, pero luego de usarla un tiempo, él probó a hacerlas separadas en secciones dentro de la misma publicación, resulta que le que bien y lo ha estado haciendo así desde hace un tiempo. Ahora que está consiguiendo su propia estética de presentación de contenidos, quedó con ganas de mejorar y poner un poco más de trabajo para mejorar sus publicaciones y que tuvieran mejor presentación, allí fue cuando me preguntó sobre como hacer unos separadores con algún programa que fuera sencillo, gratuito, legal y que yo lo tuviera a mano en alguno de los respaldos. Así que para dar respuesta me puse a buscar y hallé que tenía uno, lo había descargado hace poco porque se habían estado actualizando y las últimas versiones agregaban cosas interesantes, se trataba ade un programa que en principio yo había leído que estaba enfocado en ser el sucesor del viejo programa de imágenes 'Paint' dentro de las aplicaciones preinstaladas del sistema operativo Windows, pero al revisar un poco su historia, vemos que si bien la compañía Microsoft dio un patrocinio a su creador, él no era un trabajador directo ni un freelance de la empresa.
Entonces, el programa se lo recomendé porque es como dibujar con el viejo Paint, pero con una aplicación que permite el trabajo con capas, agrega la posibilidad de colocarle extensiones que dan efectos y otras funcionalidades, que es sencilla de usar y bastante intuitiva, por lo que su curva de aprendizaje es ligera desde mi punto de vista. Bien, eso sería lo que quería compartir en este calmado día miércoles mío, por suerte, a pesar de escuchar truenos a lo lejos, no ha caído la lluvia y aún tengo servicio eléctrico, hay que alegrarse de eso, porque en las noticias veo que hay gente de varios países que están pasando por el mismo período de tormentas y huracanes que mi país y de verdad que se ve terrible la destrucción que deja. Solo puedo desear que todo pase, que las perdidas materiales no sean muy graves, que no se presenten perdidas de vidas y que puedan reparar todo lo más rápido que se pueda.

I had an old version of paint.net, it looks like it's been updated a lot since then. Maybe it's time to revisit the program.
Yeah, I'm not an expert on the software, but I think there have been various updates to it.
I need to spend some time practicing with this again because I haven't used it for a while and if I want to help my brother, I need to remember as much as I can about its use first :)

I use photoshop, but took a long time to learn and am still learning. However, there are some advantages that I like.

Photoshop is already talking about big words :)
It is the quintessential program in photographic management and digital retouching among people of my generation, to the point that there were times when we conjugated it as if it were a verb.
Something similar to 'Goggle it', but in this case when I was working, and we had to assemble images for a presentation we asked each other if 'Photoshopit' already had it. Certainly the program in each version increased its capabilities and its use, but its learning can be a bit slow in some cases. Hence, if it is about making a few simple touches on an image, it tends to work with programs of lesser range, but that meet what is needed.
This program falls into that group, it is easy to use, the base program does few things, but it does them quite well, it is comfortable and if you want to add functions, it has a community of users who have created and published extensions and filters on the page from the manufacturer, so they take care of making it more useful.
Anyway, I'm already talking a lot :) I still have to give my brother a minimum of support so that he learns to use it himself, and he creates the graphic elements for himself.

Yes, I think it's a good program to do minor tasks and simple things, plus it seems to me that its learning curve is not very difficult, and the user community has a directory on the manufacturer's page where they publish extensions, brushes, textures and much more for the more advanced users.
