But when talking about it with my brother, he questioned me if there wasn't something else for the record, something that would fit more in the sense that I have given it so far, in that I deal with ephemeris of #History or current issues in my country, #Venezuela, anyway, it seemed to you that the publication that I was considering was kind of lacking in content. I thought about it and revised it a bit, that's how I found out that it was the anniversary of the death, in 2004, of the North American #photographer Richard #Avedon, of whom I have read some scattered #biographical data that I found interesting.
< br> Avedon was a #fashion photographer, an area where one might think things are shallow and banal, but not necessarily so, this man was interesting as a #photographer for introducing a much fresher style, in the that the models have to be taken out of the stiff studios and cold poses to take them to more open, public and dynamic spaces, capture the personality and freshness of the people in the photos, that gives a new air and a new charm to fashion photos. His photographic work also highlights the portraits he made on a white background and the #photographs of social and political content, such as those he took in the middle of the street and captured key moments of the 20th century in his country, such as the marches for human rights civilians in the southern United States or the protests against the Vietnam War, something that he also addressed internationally, since among his photos stand out those he took in Germany for the fall of the Berlin Wall, that old symbol of death and separation of the two Germanys that were divided by the defeat in the Second World War and that did not achieve their unification until the weakening of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

One of the details that I remember about his life is that already in the 60s of the last century he was a consolidated photographer and had a well-run job, but he received strong criticism from his employers for employing people among his models for his photos that they did not have Caucasian features, it was because he had taken African-American people as models or people with a 'color' that was not 'white', he decided that if that was the criteria to criticize his work, then he was working for the wrong people, so he quit and looking for a new job, he came to Vogue magazine and worked there for the next 20 years. He preferred not to surrender his work to racist criticism that had no basis to question his techniques and his photographic approach, that is something that I find very respectable.

Because it turns out that as a photographer, he was a very talented and world-renowned man in his artistic field, which is why his works have been exhibited in various museums and galleries, including institutions such as the Smithsonian or two Metropolitan Museums.

Well, with this I suppose that my daily record is more similar to what I usually publish (personal laughter), anyway, on this day 932 of my #Quarantine due to the #COVID-19 #pandemic, I say goodbye wishing that you are well and that we can read each other again another time.
