My Life as a Farming Painting Blogging Cooking Software Developer 👩‍🍳 IAAC #71

I Am Alive! 🌱

Quarantine has brought us a lot of hardships the past days, weeks, months, or even year. But it seems it has also taught me quite a few practical skills. These skills were already forming ever since I moved out from my parents, alongside the secret amateur cooking talent I never knew I had, but they have been honed even more during the pandemic. Sometimes out of sheer necessity.

One activity very close to my heart are the various farming activities I do. Even though I have now settled on primarily growing pepper varieties, I planted al sorts of different plants this year. Just for the experience sometimes. And almost all those ventures have delivered good harvest.

Another fun fact is that ever since we moved I decided to paint the house myself, because of the high asking price for the labor at the time of inquiry. Even if I can afford it, I'd rather do the work myself and splurge on eventual travel adventures whenever that's possible again. Garden scaping, curtain placing and electric installations also became part of that home resume.

Of course I still have my regular as software developer where I get to do something I thoroughly enjoy.

And last but definitely not least, ever since the beginning of August I discovered Hive and became a blogger, apparently. Well, I try at least. And while I won't be painting other houses for money with my painting skills, activities on Hive actually result in extra daily income, with the potential to someday become a main source.

Now for an appropriate daily funny image to balance out all the drama.

hello dear friend @rarej good day,
It is good to know all your skills, it is true what you say, it is always better to do things yourself

This pandemic has brought out the positive sides of people who didn't even know they had it, in my case the furniture constructions and the concrete waterfalls

I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid day

True. The pandemic will be over some day, but your skills will always remain with you.
Have a great day! :)

It's a far better experience if you try to look on the bright side. :)
Even if that's not always as easy.

Hello @rarej,
Apparently a good blogger?
Actually I think you are consistent in what you do, a good way to make your approach in your posts, and even in a fun way. So I can say that you are a good blogger.

I must confess one thing, I had not heard about Suriname before you mentioned it. And I realize that we are on the same continent, perhaps for that reason many spaces and customs were familiar to me.
Learning to cook always and well, is something that frees us, really, as I see it.

Suriname is a young country, as far as I could read, it barely achieved independence in 1975. I have been learning some new things, thanks to what you share in your publications.
Is there any way I can communicate with you?
I would like to ask you something. I wrote to you in private for disagreement, but I don't think you've seen the message yet.

Thanks for the compliment! Really means a lot. :)

A lot of people don't know where Suriname is or that it exists. I even met some Brazilians who are literally our neighbors who don't know about Suriname. So I'm used to that. But glad I could bring it to someone's attention through my posts.

Just saw your message. I open discord more in the weekends due to time constraint.
