My primary Hive goal remains roughly the same as two months ago: aquire enough HP that a 3-5% upvote gives the poster at least 0.001 in rewards. I haven't calculated how much I need for that, because I think the answer would make me depressed. This way I can believe that I'll get there some day, tiny step by tiny step.
My week, according to HiveStats looked like this:
The 6th of February is empty because it was only 10 minutes past midnight when I took the screenshot.
I powered up 10 HP on the 1st, and was going for the 1 HP powerup per day badge. But after powering up 1 more on the 2nd I suddenly ran out of RC and had to read up on how that works again. It happened all the time when I first got on Hive, but I guess I didn't want to remember! So I threw in the 27 Hive I had meant to use for the rest of the month. When those ran out after 10 minutes I went to bed, then sold my SWAP.BTC and added another 150HP on the 3rd. I'm glad I sent the BTC over when I did, while it was still at 17k, and left it as SWAP.BTC while it grew to 23k. Why does it matter? Well, the BTC were actually points at a faucet, 1 point being worth $0.0001. So when BTC is low, I get more satoshi/point!
Thanks to that, and delegations from various Alive contests, I'm now managing to start each day with a little more RC than the day before, and slowly grow it back towards a reasonable level. It's currently at 35%. Can anyone tell me, by the way, if longer posts/comments use more RC than a short one?
My daily or weekly earnings are nothing to be proud of. I need to post more often, more interesting, and where people will see it. I started out with food posts, but I've realised I can't do that without someone to take the pictures. Chop onion, wash hands, dry hands, fetch the iPad and take a picture or two, put the iPad back far from the stove and anything sticky, wash hands again, continue with the food for two minutes... I don't understand how people can manage that, and still not burn or overcook half the food!
I've also got at start at accumulating tipping tokens. Ideally, I'd like to be able to include a !tip with every comment I make, but that probably won't happen this year. It seems that most of the tokens are easy to get started with: 20 staked PIZZA = 5 tips/day, and 200 = 10 tips, but to do 20 tips I'd need 5000 PIZZA. I think I make 100-150 comments a day right now, so the best least expensive solution would probably be to have 15+ different tokens and tip each one 10 times a day. Are there even that many?
Wow you are really working hard here. I wish I could add some value to help you more on what your doing already. The thing is I'm new and if advice was given it wouldn't be surprising if I was pointed to do what you are doing. Your grinding is very motivating keep it up :)

Great goals of growing your HP and RC, make sure to win some more HP delegations in Alive Chat to add more RC as well, and don't delegate RC until you have more HP.
RC keeps constantly recharging, the more HP you have, owned and delegated to you the more Max RC you have, plus also if you have any RC delegated to you as well.

Great, you know that undelegated RC comes back at zero, and then it recharges, and recharge time is 5 days given that it is not used, or it will take a bit longer.

I thought it was 4 days, but I think I can survive for 5 😹 And yes, I knew it comes back as "used up already" but it's currently better for meto have it back and it starts recharging, than not having it all.

If you hover over the (i) Activities, you'll see it counts posts+comments. So I've made a total of 119 in the past 24 hours. The 73.042 isn't USD, it's ecency points, which you earn from commenting, upvoting, posting, even reading. You can find a list of all the things that earn you points if you go to your wallet and click Ecency. How much money people make from their posts and comments depends on the upvotes they get, and doesn't really have anything to do with the number of posts. People who write good and interesting stuff get more and better upvotes, it's as simple as that.

No, Ecency points can't be converted to anything. You can use them to boost or promote posts, or give them away.

Yes and no. You tip people to increase their holdings. Sometimes they tip you back, sometimes not, and sometimes people tip you when you can't or won't tip back.
Holding or staking certain tokens - tipping tokens or others - may increase the rewards you get for upvoting posts that are tagged with those tokens. At least that's what I've been told!
And some tokens send out rewards daily or weekly because you hold them or have staked them.
I'm no expert on tokens though. The best way to learn about them is to follow links from the tipbots, and to search for communites that use different tokens.
