Nature, sea and sun: that's why I love walks

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago (edited)

Last days of summer, a nice walk along the seashore, enjoying the warm sun and the wonderful sea with intensity of blue and light blue. My eyes sparkle when I see it so vivid and beautiful, calm and bright. I walked along the entire north coast, a stretch of sea that has recently been the subject of reclamation and the creation of a pedestrian path and the restoration of the fence, previously missing or destroyed by vandalism.

The temperature is really pleasant, the heat of the sun is dampened by a light breeze, very pleasant and almost relaxing. The scent of the sea is particularly intense, the call for sea lovers is irresistible, although the water is cooler but it is so transparent that you can observe the bottom even from a distance from the shore.

On the coast there are many villas, constructions of the 80s and today they would be prohibited due to the narrow distance from the sea. A stretch of coast that is still subject to conservation due to the force of the sea that is gnawing on the land and for which it was necessary to intervene with stone blocks along the beach. The large stones are an ideal place to lie in the sun and for this reason it is always difficult to find a free rock.

The stretch I have traveled is purely a pedestrian area and many athletes travel it during the day, with greater concentration in the early morning or late afternoon, depending on work or leisure in general. There are some stretches of the coast that are particularly difficult for swimmers to reach as access is prohibited due to the danger of part of the cliff collapsing which, up until a decade ago, was accessible. For example, I was impressed by a staircase carved into the stone of which the first steps are visible and then the rest collapsed. This stretch of coast has now been made safe for pedestrians or sportsmen, it is really a long walk of a few kilometers between the Mediterranean vegetation and its animals, especially a great variety of birds such as sparrows, swallows and in recent years there has been an increase exceptional of parrots, which are colonizing a little all over the territory.

During the recent redevelopment of the coast, a typical small fisherman's boat was installed, a symbol of our past and our future because the sea is a great natural resource that has provided food to the population for centuries and therefore it is necessary to respect it so that future generations will be able to continue to enjoy his blessing.

A relaxing walk, away from the chaos of the city and its hectic times. Here everything seems to have stopped, as in a parallel world, in which anyone can enter and enjoy the energy of him. Can you feel his power too?
