@johannpiber and @tattoodjay I think you both need to go deep-sea fishing to really up the excitement! There is such a huge difference between dropping a line off a pier and tossing it overboard in hopes that you DON'T get something stronger than you. :)
My cousins own charter boats for deep-sea fishing and I swear to God, I love it every time I go.

Well, my parents have a small fish pond and when we were kids, we used to go fishing to a small river nearby. But these fish were meant for family lunch or for dinner - what should I do with a fish bigger than I am? Invite all my relatives for dinner? 🤣🤣🤣
Now seriously, I have watched such fishing activities on tv and it's amazing and sometimes funny to see when people catch such a strong fish for the first time and realize that they are really stronger than they had thought. It must be a great experience that can't be compared to fishing at a pond.
I know only a few fishermen here who have the best gear and the most important thing for them is that there's enough beer ;)
