Wednesday Walk a snapshot of walks

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

this weeks walk

For this weeks post I am showing a snapshot of aa few walks this week, I couldn't decide on which walk to focus on so decided to share one shot from each walk I did in the last week. there is another reason or this since i am submitting this also onto Dreemport, there is an additional challenge this week which is we are making our steps COUNT TO INFLUENCE SOMEONE IN A BEAUTIFUL WAY!

Well for me all my walks are pretty much the same reason, that is to get some fresh air, some steps in and take a few photos, walking is my way of relaxing and clearing my head, and as you will not all of this photos are from early morning walks which for me a walk at sunrise ideally by the water is the best way to start the day and makes me a better person and hopefully my photos make people smile and feel good

Now onto the walks I have done over the last week or so

This first one is beside the pier at the end of the Harbor walk, the walk I do most here in New Bedford, its a great spot to get some steps in and some mornings I get to see some lovely sunrises

This next shot is beside the road next to the piers downtownit was a kind of moody morning so I shot this looking down the no longer used train tracks and waited for a car to come by to get a light trail

And on the Harbor walk on another of my walks this past week

And again at the harbor walk, this of the sun rising over the fisherman on the pier

And here I am at Jones Beach, a park and beach in Dartmouth a neighboring city, took a bunch of shots that morning so will share more about this spot in a future post

Next up I am in Mattapoisett about a 20 Minute drive from Home, this shot taken from the car park looking across the water, but isn't the main reason why I went to this spot

Some really lovely views and shots from your early morning walks. It must be so quiet and peaceful at that time. I've walked a few times late at night or early hours with my hubby when we have been coming home from being out with friends and it is really quite special. I love the solitude and the feeling of having a little space of the planet all to myself for a moment or three in time :-) I haven't yet joined in with wednesdaywalk but will try to do so this coming week as I've read a few wednesdaywalk posts since I started on the Hive and Proof of Brain in June and thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of perspectives and learning about other people's lives, homes and communities around the world. My walks tend to happen during daylight hours and often with my kids...I wonder where it will take me next week for the wednesdaywalk? ;-)
