RE: A Queen Anne Home

in Wednesday Walk3 years ago

Oh, Queen Anne! She is a beauty! The lines on it are so genteel and full of grace, aren't they? They just resonate with an era gone by.

I can only imagine when Mr. Lowe built this for his daughter? I can see the pride shining in his face, to be able to provide in that way for your offspring! It was a grand gesture on his part. I can tell there has been a good amount of pride shown in this house, which is why it remains in such great shape.

I own a Rustic Victorian that is quite large over on the Eastern Shore. They are much more practically built, hence the rustic. It was built in 1859 and has a fireplace in every room. It is that house with plain lines. :) But, I love it anyway and it is a work in progress with the renovations.

You took a beautiful walk today, showing off your beautiful town.

The purple is Liriope muscari or some people call it monkey grass. I can't really tell what the pink one is. I can't see the leaves on the plant. Anyway, great steps and great post!

I hope you have a wonderful day.

You must live in a very pretty house!
A fireplace in every room. It reminds me of a retreat house I go to once a year. That too has a fireplace in every room, and I find that so romantic!
A Liriope Muscari or monkey grass! I never took the time to research it, so thank you!
I had a fulfilling and wonderful day, @dswigle, and I wish you the same 👍😀😘😍

I just happen to know it's monkey grass. The fireplaces in every room is because the house was built in 1869 and that was the heating. Judging by the size of the home oh, I would have to say that they were well off for the times. Thank you so much and I hope that you have a wonderful day as well.

You know it, @dswigle!!!
I am catching up with my responses, hehehe 😘😍!
