For this Wednesday Walk Challenge hosted by @tattoodjay, I'm taking you to the Mont Tremblant ski resort in the Laurentians, Quebec. This was probably my last ski outing of the season, even though it's still cold in Montreal, and we were below 0°C (32F) again today.
Pour ce Wednesday Walk Challenge organisé par @tattoodjay, je vous amène à la station de ski du Mont Tremblant dans les Laurentides au Québec. C'était sûrement ma dernière sortie en ski de la saison bien qu'il continue de faire froid sur Montréal, encore aujourd'hui nous étions sous les 0.
The Mont Tremblant ski resort is located in the Laurentians, about 130 kilometers from Montreal, about 2 hours by car if there aren't too many people on the road. And this morning, it was easy to get to the resort on its Versant Nord (North side).
La station de ski du Mont Tremblant se trouve dans les Laurentides à environ 130 kilomètres de Montréal, un peu moins de 2 heures de voiture si il n'y a pas trop de monde sur la route. Et ce matin, cela fut facile d'arriver à la station sur le Versant Nord.

You're about to follow my day's skiing at Mont Tremblant as I arrive at the Versant Nord with its two chairlifts to the summit. Well, only the Express (on the left) goes all the way to the top at 872 metres (2 860 f). The chairlift on the right stops mid-slope to access the free-style slope or take another chairlift to the summit.
Vous allez suivre ma journée de ski au Mont Tremblant avec mon arrivée au Versant Nord avec les deux télésièges qui montent au sommet. Enfin seulement l'Express (sur la gauche) monte tout en haut à 872 mètres. Pour le télésiège de droite il s'arrête mi-pente pour accéder à la piste free-style ou prendre un autre télésiège pour le somment.
Here we are on our way to the summit. This will be the only time on this chairlift today, as it will break down in the morning 😢. As you can see conditions were ideal with a beautiful blue sky and nice temperatures (not too cold).
Nous voici en route pour le sommet. Cela sera la seule fois de la journée sur ce télésiège, car il va tomber en panne dans la matinée 😢. Comme vous pouvez le constater les conditions étaient idéales avec un beau ciel bleu et des températures pas trop froide.
At the summit, we had a superb view of the Laurentians. Ski conditions were fine. 5 cm of fresh snow had fallen overnight. Below, it was a little icy, but largely skiable for having fun.
Au sommet, nous avons une superbe vue sur les Laurentides. Les conditions de ski étaient correctes. 5 cm de neige fraiche était tombé pendant la nuit. En dessous, c'était un peu glacé mais largement skiable pour faire se faire plaisir.
As we descended the Versant Sud, towards the main resort of Mont Tremblant, we were surrounded by a magnificent landscape of snow-covered trees and a little ice.
En descendant le Versant Sud, vers la station principale du Mont Tremblant, nous étions entouré d'un paysage magnifique avec ces arbres recouverts par la neige et un peu de glace.
Another nice touch was that there weren't too many people on the slopes, perfect for enjoying the scenery at your own pace. In the background of the photo below, you can see Lac Tremblant, very popular in summer. But it's also used in winter, with people skiing with a kite. Never done that, and you ?
Autre point sympathique, il n'y avait pas trop de monde sur les pistes, parfait pour en profiter et descendre à son rhytme en profitant du paysage. Au fond sur la photo ci dessous, on peut apercevoir le Lac Tremblant, très prisé en été. Mais aussi utilisé en hiver, il y avait des personnes qui faisaient du ski tracté par un gros cerf-volant. Jamais fait cela, et vous ?
I took my time on the first few runs, admiring nature. And I think these are the last moments of this winter. I love skiing but when spring starts to set in, I can't wait to put the skis away and enjoy the summer 😀.
J'ai pris mon temps pour les premières pistes en admirant la nature. Et je pense que c'est les derniers moments de cet hiver. J'aime skier mais quand le printemps commence à s'installer, j'ai hâte de ranger les skis et de profiter de l'été 😀.

In the afternoon, the weather began to cloud up. Snow was forecast for the evening, perfect for the Mont Tremblant resort whose colorful roofs can be admired in these photos. The resort is quite nice, with even a microbrewery. But it's not too expensive. Americans like to come, as the exchange rate is advantageous for them.
En après-midi, le temps commençait à se couvrir. De la neige était prévue en soirée, parfait pour la station du Mont Tremblant dont on peut admirer les toits colorés sur ces photos. La station est assez sympa avec même une micro brasserie. Mais cela reste peu cher. Les américains aiment bien venir, le taux de change est avantageux pour eux.

Looks like an exciting place to have an even more exciting activity to do. Would like to have the chairlift experience also heheh. At the summit and down the slopes, you had nice view of the place. Beautiful capture of the trees partly covered with ice. Skiing with kite in this area seems fun too.
Yes, it's a beautiful ski resort, one of the biggest in the region... but a bit expensive, especially for skiing. In summer, it's just as nice, with lots of activities, including the lake and Mont Tremblant National Park for walking.
