Greetings everyone.
On Saturday, April 25,2026. I traveled in the morning at 4:15, from my residence on the small town of Sukabumi to East Jakarta, using a car and driving myself. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay as inspiration.
The distance traveled was about four hours vis the toll road. Before arriving at my destination, I stopped at a rest area. The rest area took about an hour more from the departure. Entering the rest area, the car was Parked and when I walked around the rest area to relax my muscles while looking for breakfast.
Inside the rest area, many Cars are Parked, they use it to rest drink coffee and others. There are many facilities in the rest area, such car battery charging guarded by security, fuel filling of gasoline, Pertamax,diesel. The location is where you want to exit the rest area.
The fuel price board is clearly visible, some fuel has increased, perhaps due to the global escalation of war conflicts in the Middle East. The Mosque building next to the car battery charging, other facilities include toilets, place to withdraw money at an ATM gallery.
There are some restaurant that are still open and some are still closed. Starbucks coffee shop is open non-stop. Walking inside the rest area is enough. Then I entered a mini market, brought drinks and bread, ate in the car and continued to lie down in the car.
Around 7 am, I started driving the car again towards my destination. This toll-free highway, called Jagorawi, is an extension of the jakarta- Bogor- Ciawi toll road. It was first built on in Indonesia 1971 and inaugurated in 1978. And is approximately around 54 kilometers.
