Hello everyone,
today I would like to take you again to a #Wednesdaywalk which was created by @tattoodjay.
I walk with you through the beautiful spa park of our city.
The special thing is that we made the walk in the evening when darkness set in, because the park was transformed into a sea of lights.
This project was started during the first Corona year, when the Christmas markets had to be closed. It became such a popular attraction that it was continued in the following years.
Despite the energy crisis, the elaborate lighting was installed again this year.
I think Christmas lights are really nice at this time of year, as they add atmosphere to evening walks and are simply good for the soul in the dark season.

Hallo zusammen,
heute möchte ich Euch wieder mitnehmen zu einem #Wednesdaywalk der von @tattoodjay ins Leben gerufen wurde.
Ich spaziere mit Euch durch unseren schönen Kurpark.
Das besondere ist, dass wir den Spaziergang bei einsetzender Dunkelheit am Abend gemacht haben, denn der Park wurde in ein Lichtermeer verwandelt.
Begonnen wurde dieses Projekt während des ersten Corona Jahres, in dem die Weihnachtsmärkte geschlossen bleiben mussten. Es wurde zu so einem beliebten Anziehungspunkt, dass auch in den weiteren Jahren daran festgehalten wurde.
Trotz der Energiekrise wurde auch in diesem Jahr die aufwändige Beleuchtung erneut installiert.
Ich finde Weihnachtsbeleuchtung in dieser Zeit sehr schön, da sie die abendlichen Spaziergänge stimmungsvoll begleitet und der Seele in der dunklen Jahreszeit einfach gut tut.

200,000 LED lights set the facades of the historic buildings artistically in scene and let the spa gardens shine in a Christmas glow.
Here you can see the Kaiserpalais, which was built in 1908 as a prestigious spa house and looks like a baroque castle from the outside. During my childhood, a sophisticated casino with dress code was housed in this building. After the casino closed, the GOP Variete moved in here.
On the side is an entrance to the disco "Adiamo", where I also spent some interesting evenings before I became a mom ;)

Hier seht Ihr das Kaiserpalais, welches 1908 als repräsentatives Kurhaus errichtet wurde und von außen an ein barrockes Schloss erinnert. Während meiner Kindheit war ein mondänes Casino mit Dresscode in diesem Gebäude untergebracht. Nachdem das Casino geschlossen wurde, zog das GOP Variete hier ein.
Seitlich ist ein Eingang zu der Discothek "Adiamo", in der auch ich vor meiner Zeit als Mama einige interessante Abende verbracht habe ;)
This cute lighted moose stands at the edge of the large gallery where there are water features in the summer.
Dieser süße beleuchtetet Elch steht am Rande der großen Empore, auf der es im Sommer Wasserspiele gibt.
Past the large fountain we go in the direction of Wandelhalle. I photographed the fountain later when it was really dark to better capture its lighting.
Vorbei am großen Springbrunnen gehen wir in Richtung Wandelhalle. Den Brunnen habe ich später nocheinem fotografiert, als es richtig dunkel war, um seine Beleuchtung besser einzufangen.
The Drinking and Conversion Hall was built in 1926 in the shape of a Greek temple, thus reflecting the origins of the Roman spa in ancient Greece. Even today, visitors can drink the healing water from the Wittekind well in the so called "Wandelhalle". The large hall is used for classical spa concerts, which citizens and guests can attend free of charge. In the adjoining side corridors there is a kind of store row with some small stores where you can buy souvenirs and other things. There is also a small cafe there.
Now at Christmas time a few small stalls for food and drink have been installed, where visitors to the sea of lights can fortify themselves.
Die Trink- und Wandelhalle wurde 1926 in Form eines griechischen Tempels errichtet und soll damit den Ursprung des römischen Heilbadens im antiken Griechenland widerspiegeln. Noch heute können die Besucher in der Wandelhalle das Heilwasser aus dem Wittekind Brunnen trinken. Die große Halle wird für klassische Kurkonzerte genutzt, die die Bürger und Gäste kostenlos besuchen können. In den angeschlossenen Seitengängen ist eine Art Ladenzeile mit einigen kleinen Geschäften, in denen man Souvenirs und andere Dinge erwerben kann. Auch ein kleines Cafe gibt es dort.
Jetzt zur Weihnachtszeit wurde ein paar kleine Buden für Speis und Trank installiert, an denen sich die Besucher des Lichtermeers stärken können.
Directly opposite the Wandelhalle there is another smaller fountain with a view of the Theater im Park. This area is especially beautifully illuminated, as you will see in the following pictures.
I have some formative moments with the theater. As a child, I performed there every year with the children's choir in a Christmas concert. It was every time an indescribable atmosphere and remains simply unforgotten.
Direkt gegenüber der Wandelhalle gibt es noch einen kleineren Brunnen mit Blick auf das Theater im Park. Dieser Bereich ist besonders schön beleuchtet, wie Ihr auf den folgenden Bildern sehen werdet.
Mit dem Theater verbinden mich einige für mich prägende Momente. Als Kind bin ich dort mit dem Kinderchor jedes Jahr mit einem Weihnachtskonzert aufgetreten. Es war jedes Mal eine unbeschreibliche Atmosphäre und bleibt einfach unvergessen.
Now it was getting darker and darker, making this area of the park seem really magical.
Jetzt wurde es immer dunkler und lies diesen Bereich des Parks wirklich magisch erscheinen.
Through the star, we still made a small tour of the Christmas market in the city. The Christmas market is quite small and not particularly worth mentioning. For energy saving reasons, the ice rink was equipped with artificial ice this year. There were only two children on the rink and they didn't seem to have much fun, as they only struggled with their skates on the plastic plates.
Maybe instead of the artificial ice rink they could have just put up some pretty booths or simply a cozy place to sit for the christmas makrt visitors....
Durch den Stern hindurch haben wir noch einen kleinen Rundgang über den Weihnachtsmarkt in der City gemacht. Der Weihnachtsmarkt ist recht klein und nicht besonders erwähnenswert. Aus energiespargründen wurde die Eisbahn in diesem Jahr mit Kunsteis ausgestattet. Es waren nur zwei 2 Kinder auf der Bahn und die schienen nicht besonders viel Spaß zu haben, da sie mit ihren Schlittschuhen nur mühsam auf den Kunsteisplatten vorankamen.
Vielleicht hätte man anstatt der künstlichen Eisbahn einfach ein paar hübsche Buden aufbauen können oder einfach eine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit für die Weihnachtsmakrtbesucher...
Finally, we walked back through the park and I was able to take a few more pictures in complete darkness.
Abschließend sind wir noch einmal zurück durch den Park gelaufen und ich konnte noch ein paar Bilder bei vollständiger Dunkelheit machen.
