Just a short morning walk

Life seems a bit different when I am out of my routine. Not better nor worse, just different. Usually, mornings at 5:40 would be reserved for deep sleep for me, but the other day the sun announced to me that it was the perfect time to open my eyes. I didn't agree, though. I gained a bit more sleep, so this walk happened later... around eight. The mornings are still fresh, and walking by the river (in the lack of sea) is the best place to do this activity. The mosquitos are also sleeping, as in the evenings they are not so nice to me.

The place where this short walk happened is by the River Danube. There is a walking route that offers the inhabitants of this small city a pleasant recreational time. However, that morning not too many people adventured themselves to do some walking or running activity. Maybe I should ask myself why it happens lately that, in my posts, there are almost no people where I am.

Do I scare away the folks?

Do I choose creepy places to walk around?

No, it can't be true. It is not a creepy place, it is a very nice area... Also, there is an Orthodox church on the banks of the river that was built maybe a decade ago (or two already). On the main holidays, like Christmas or Easter, the members of the church gather to celebrate those days.

What can we also see here? Benches for those who want to rest after a long, long walk, but you remember, my walk was just a short one. I could really not complain and sit there and do nothing. It doesn't work for me. Although, I should sometimes do exactly that - nothing.

So, you see, I couldn't stand still. In just a few moments, I think I made one of the biggest discoveries in recent times. I came across an object that looked very much like a periscope. What do you think? Did I just discover a submarine, albeit hidden underground, that was hiding from the world? Maybe one branch of the river is flowing under the earth, and the submarine found a great shelter there? There are many questions, and the biggest of them is whether people have hidden there and are now spying on me... Would I finish this walk quickly?

Look here and look there... Shh, keep silence! Mipiano is strolling here, but soon she will go home.

IMG_20220709_085933.jpg

Well, yes. I didn't stay there for a long time. I have to be faithful to the title of this post and, indeed, do just a short walk. The river also seemed calm and wished me a happy day.

{P.S. I am wondering whether people have come out later from their hiding places when I went home...? Or was this just a creepy place indeed?}

No, they just don't go there as it's in front of their nose. :))
It's strange to find yourself into calm environment if you live into busy place a bit longer, but watch out you can adjust on it very easily. 🙃

This looks like a real meditative spot, too bad you had to move on. :)

So, you think people just don't go there as they are too used to the scenery ...?

Maybe, maybe you are right :))

I can check it out some other morning too so I will know what the truth is :P

Try it out on weekend 😉

Now I'm curios am I right hahaha

Check it out with me :))

Then we would be two of us, in a place without other people 😂

I'm in, I'm in!

Yep, must be that… you were too early and everybody came out later. Or they don’t like walks. Or are away on holidays.
It is nice to be able to find places were you can wander alone.

What a beautiful walk along the river. Stunning views.
I have no idea what that metal thing is hehehe 🤭 you do find things that are different. Pretty cool though.
Have a wonderful time further 👋🏻😁💃🏻☀️ Enjoy!

maybe you have a hidden super power that lets you slip in and out of an alternate dimension where you get to explore the world all by yourself...

...actually, that would be a neat talent!

...as long as you can't get stuck in that lonely world

To me this place doesnt look scary Looks a place I would happily walks as well

Maybe people there sleep even later than you LOL

as for me, at 5:45 this morning i had just finished an hour and a bit long morning walk and was heading to the supermarket :)

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Wow, you get up early then.
It all depends on the habits, I guess. I go to sleep pretty late, though now on vacations things changed

Ohh I have been an early riser for decades I just can’t sleep in even when I try

But that said getting older I do go to sleep earlier than I used to

What a lovely walk! Great pictures too :) sometimes it's nice to get up early, I like it as I can get the day started - as long as I am productive it's all good haha!

Glad you had a great walk :)

Hey @sunsethunter

Thanks for walking here with me. Well, how my routine is changing, maybe I will be getting up earlier every day and take more of these walks 😇

The place you walk around seems an ideal place to jog, though I am fond of ( always planning, but never happened).

You say it around 8am when you started to walk, ahmm maybe people are all off to work?😁

Many people here are already retired, so they usually walk around, more in the evening, but it was strange nobody was there in the morning :))

To jog? Well, I am not good at it either 😅

Umm me gustan esos ambientes tranquilos,el día estaba bonito, amo la tranquilidad ,explorar y estos paisajes me encantan.

Sí, traen tranquilidad, verdad?

Gracias por pasear un poco conmigo @marito74 😀

a very beautiful and relaxing place, all that blue sky and that wonderful nature what a nice place greetings friend

@mipiano my dear friend and mentor, I guess you really enjoyed your walk... The place you went to and the pictures you took are so lovely. This river still got me thinking though.
