Haha I actually know someone who was walking a toy sized yorkie and it almost got carried away by an owl except for the fact that it was attached to a leash.

LOL. We joke about that in our house often. The owls are a pretty good size in our area and we're just not ready for an owl of any size to take our pups to Hogwarts.
One my my childhood pet kittens was taken away to hogwarts by a horned owl lol.
Oh yikes! Sorry to hear that :-( It's a terrible thing which is why in our household we try to make light of the possibility that it could actually happen.
As a kid it was more of a surprise to me than anything, I had no idea a bird would take a cat away like that. I was already desensitized by javelinas and coyotes picking off some of our other pets by then.
