Here is a nice spring walk for this #wednesday walk by @tattoodjay
Quite a few critters were out as it was just starting to get sunny around here for spring. I finally saw this year's first beaver. Here he is sitting on his tail, I tried getting him to move so I could get a shot of the tail but instead he just jumped into the lake.
The robins are out all over the place again, though they are puffed up to stay warm in the cold wind.
Squirrels are still getting abducted by aliens. They just get vacuumed up off the grass for various extraterrestrial experiments.
The red-winged black birds are back and posturing around for territory again.
Here is one in full display right after a loud squawk. Look at my bright red shoulder pads!!!
So far I haven't seen a single female red-winged blackbird around yet, maybe they are the early birds just staking out their territory before the females arrive.
The Canadian geese are starting to pair up for spring. Soon there will be some little goslings running around.
The snow drops are finally starting to bloom.
These little guys are usually the first green shoots that come up in spring and are the first blooming flower. They call them snowdrops because they are often blooming while it is still snowing.
So far no new mushrooms are out yet. Just old polypores like these turkeytails are out. Hopefully in the next week I can start finding some new spring mushrooms.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
diverse shot in spring, the animals seem to be really enjoying the weather at your place.
Now I just need to get a shot of a river otter, I've seen them around but they are too fast to get a picture of them.
Fabulous images showing the beauty of spring
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)
Soon mushrooms will be out and I can start foraging again. In the meantime I'll just be looking for goslings at the lake.
Good luck on foraging when the mushrooms return
Morel season is just a few weeks away.
👍😎😊
Beautiful pictures of amazing nature. !LUV them.
Have a nice day!

Thanks for looking :-)
Animal start a new life after the seasons change, looking optimistic for the futute.like it . Thank you.
They are starting to get busy again. Spring is the best time for nature photography of wildlife.
Thank you very much.
Looks like a great walk. I was with you on all the critters. Squirrels ✔️, robins ✔️, blackbirds ✔️, geese ✔️, then the blooms and I was like not yet. Snow from last weekend still melting off. We planted some bulbs last fall that we are waiting for to come up. When it snowed, I thought nature knows. They are waiting for snow to stop lol And oh btw...

Haha the poor squirrels are getting abducted again. Keep an eye out for the snowdrops, it might be another few weeks for you up there.
Wow amazing What a beautiful picture you took
The beaver was a rare sight, they usually are too shy to spot out in the open or they only come out in the dark evening.
jadi .so it's very difficult to take pictures

On your way, Wednesday is very happy by being able to display some very beautiful pictures
I was lucky to see so many creatures out by the lake. Once the gloom of winter starts fading they emerge or migrate back over here.
I am interested in the image of the creature in the picture.
The beaver is a large rodent that chews down trees and makes dams on rivers then has a little house inside the branches it drags into the river. The usually end up creating smaller lakes because they block the rivers.
Wow, you have so many animals and birds around your area! Pretty amazing Wednesday walk👍
The sunlight after a gloomy winter brought them all out.
That’s great, I’m sure they are enjoying warmer weather, after long winter ❄️
Hopefully this year I can spot the river otters again and actually get a photo.
That would be great.
I mostly get photos of squirrels and iguanas here, very rarely might see a stork. Last week we saw a fox when visiting Colorado, I’ll share photos hopefully in tomorrow’s post.
Lizards are quite rare where I live, iguanas are only at pet stores up here.
The red winged blackbirds look pretty cool - never seen one of those before !
They are pretty common around here, fortunately they aren't shy at all so they are easy to photograph.
That never is all puffed up and being cute. No he didn’t want to pose for you. But still a great photo.
The beautiful snow drops that are open finally… and the red winged black birds they are stunning.
Thanks for sharing your walk @sketch.and.jam
At first I wasn't sure if it was a muskrat or a beaver but once he jumped into the water I saw the large paddle tail, You can barely see it under him in the one photo I was able to get of him.
Yes, I see the comparison with a muskrat well.
It’s a cool photo.
Its really difficult the see the difference between the two unless you can see their tail.
Yes, it is…
Have a lovely evening 👋🏻😊
a real spring!
It inspired the squirrel to spring into the air.
LOL. We have plenty of squirrels in our area. We also have quite a few owls. We are extra diligent with our small dogs when we hear the owls outside. Especially since we don't want them being taken to "Hogwarts" for wizard training.
Haha I actually know someone who was walking a toy sized yorkie and it almost got carried away by an owl except for the fact that it was attached to a leash.
LOL. We joke about that in our house often. The owls are a pretty good size in our area and we're just not ready for an owl of any size to take our pups to Hogwarts.
One my my childhood pet kittens was taken away to hogwarts by a horned owl lol.
Oh yikes! Sorry to hear that :-( It's a terrible thing which is why in our household we try to make light of the possibility that it could actually happen.

As a kid it was more of a surprise to me than anything, I had no idea a bird would take a cat away like that. I was already desensitized by javelinas and coyotes picking off some of our other pets by then.
Beautiful 🥰
Thanks, soon it will finally be time for mushrooms again.
🤗
Time is running out ... very fast ...
you need to find time to take pictures.🌼
And hopefully find just the right time to see some morels.
I had a large flock of redwings stop over during a storm a few weeks back. They ate nearly a whole bag of seed while they were here. And snow drops have been flowering here since mid February, really early this year!
The red wings sure make things noisy again, they are pretty entertaining to watch and every now and then they dive bomb you. Must be a slightly warm winter over there for the snow drops.
This year it was warm early and they popped out. This is not normal at all.
Very diverse wildlife there! Great photos! 😎
Thanks :-) it seemed like everything was out that day.
Love seeing all the wildlife. First I thought the beaver was a ground hog. Beavers are difficult to photograph. I saw two dams recently but they are no where around.
Squirrels here are being abducted and eaten by cats…maybe alien. :))
I find that the beavers are most active around their dams at dusk. I usually see their heads swimming around in the lake. This makes it difficult to get good shots of them. We have some ground hogs here too (right behind a Target store lol). Next time I go I'll try and get a shot of them eating dandelions out in the field next to the Target. Cat aliens probably nicer than reptilian aliens lol.
Looks fantastic, awesome composition and yet they all work so well together to create a stunning Photography dear.
Thanks, I was lucky to see so many critters out that day and that the light was good for my camera at the time.
