Finding joy in the simplest acts of service.

in Wednesday Walk22 hours ago

Whenever I feel demotivated, I prefer to walk down the local temple. The reason is not about getting Peace and spiritual feeling, but I look around the servicemen who dedicatedly work around the temple complex. These servicemen are referred as "sevadar" and they are quite aware of the daily activity. They are quite particular about everything that happens around the temple.

Temple is always be known as a place where people visit to pray and worship their lord. They are aware about the presence of the priest who generally carey out all the temple rituals. But there are many people who works around day and night for the upkeep of the temple and its premises. But cleaning to gardening to fulfill th3 priest requirement. Each of them were quite focused towards their job. Today, when I took around I found these servicemen is decorating a metal plate for some rituals. No one is instructing them. They simply fully aware about their duties.

On many occasion it is the priest of the temple who guide and instructs these sevadar to carry out certain requirement, but not in this temple. The temple which open at 3.AM daily, these servicemen starts their duty from 4AM onward. Everyday, they carry out everything very clearly and precisely. They have good amount of experience behind their back, which allow them to be fully aware of different temple requirement. I went to the to spend some quite time. But looking these servicemen made me to praise for their effort.

From morning havan to different rituals, they prepared everything before the priest ask for it. They are actually a step ahead from the priest. What more amazing is that they are Hindi speaking while the temple priest is Malayalam speaking. So coordinating with them.is tough but still they manage happily. I spend good hours , sitting in the quite surrounding and noticing the effort put in by the servicemen.

In good faith - Peace!!
