What a wonderful thing to say! And here I thought you'd mention cobwebs haha! I can remember when I was younger... taking a magnifying glass, and using the sun to crispy some ants. They were those nasty red ones,that really mess you up when they bite/sting you!
But then... I remember my grandfather saying... "Grandson... how would you feel, if a giant being was standing over you, and burning you and your family up!". Left an impression on me... obviously.

ha ha ha ;-) .... Forget the cobwebs... I, too, remember doing something similar in our backyards..... I remember Dad working as an engineer for a national TV operator and some of the signal monitors possessed a greenish colored magnifying screen (It was the late 70's, everything was weird I guess)..... That screen was like a giant magnifying glass!.... I used it to execute "laser attacks" on the ant hills and on dry grasses... But one day I was about to set the whole yard on fire.... My father gently corrected me (he was a gentle and almost childish man) ... but a few minutes later, my Mother appeared with her favorite belt in her hand, ready to perform her own "laser attack" I guess, against the little arsonist boy... ha ha ha ha.... it only remains to say that I ran like an athlete that day! :-) ....
