In a small town, a patrolman stops a car he thinks is speeding. The driver, a young man, tries to explain something in a rush, but the officer orders him to be quiet. They take him to the police station without letting him explain anything. The officer puts him in a cell and says:
— We have to wait for the police chief to return. You're in luck today, because it's the chief's daughter's wedding, and he might be in a good mood when he gets back.
— I doubt the chief will be in a good mood, and even less that he'll be happy with you for not letting me explain anything.
— Why is that?
— Because I'm the groom at that wedding, and I'm already quite late.

En una ciudad pequeña, un patrullero detiene un carro que le parece a él que va a exceso de velocidad, el chofer es un hombre joven que trata de explicar algo muy apresurado, pero el policía le ordena callar. Se lo llevan a la estación de policía sin dejarle explicar nada. El policía lo pone en la celda y le dice:
— Hay que esperar que regrese el jefe de policía. Hoy usted está de suerte, porque hoy es la boda de la hija del jefe y puede que cuando él regrese esté de buen humor.
— Dudo que esté de buen humor el jefe, y menos aún que esté de contento con usted por no dejarme explicar nada.
— ¿Y eso por qué?
— Porque yo soy el novio de esa boda, y ya estoy bastante retrasado.
— Hay que esperar que regrese el jefe de policía. Hoy usted está de suerte, porque hoy es la boda de la hija del jefe y puede que cuando él regrese esté de buen humor.
— Dudo que esté de buen humor el jefe, y menos aún que esté de contento con usted por no dejarme explicar nada.
— ¿Y eso por qué?
