Hello Hive people, thanks to you I have improved my sewing and I have stayed creative at home motivated to keep sharing with you what I create. Today I bring you a new ecofriendly DIY, we will make a bag from a jacket.

To make our bag we will need the common materials: needle, scissors, threads, also a 15cm zipper and a jacket that you no longer use which has to be disassembled to select the parts. In this case use the 2 front pockets and the neck for the band that holds the bag.

First we join the 2 parts of the neck to make the band longer, add fabric as much as you need. Then you turn it over and make a decorative seam around the band, I used simple stitches.

Now we take the pockets and stick the zipper on, as you see in the picture. The main parts go on top of the zipper, then you open it and pass it a seam to secure it. Then we sew the band on the opposite extremes at each end.

Then we join the main parts with straight and zigzag stitching for a better finish, then we turn it over and finally we have our bag ready from a jacket.
