How is a painting born? where does art come from?

A painting is born just like a human being...

I vividly remember the first time I picked up a pencil and drew, I remember how happy and proud I was that day and I haven't put that pencil down ever since.

Where does the need to draw come from? to paint? To represent our ideas and emotions in visual arts? It is born just like a human being, from a basic instinct that is found in the depths of each one of us, it is an instinct as basic and necessary as eating or breathing, it is an instinct linked to reproduction, the reproduction of ideas and feelings, this instinct has been rooted throughout our history and has been represented in every era in which humanity has existed from the Paleolithic cave paintings in which animals were represented to the present day.

we are the result of art and therefore we are art

Each one of the people in the world is born with a unique capacity for creation and this capacity is intrinsically linked to art, we experience art in what we eat, in what we wear, in what entertains us and even in what defines us. each one, but do we really need it? My answer is yes, since like the soul, art is part of the human being and the other defines the other.

Painting is as natural as breathing

Now I will leave you a process of drawing and painting.

Proceso - Process

This time I wanted to combine two painting styles that I really like, so I used the watercolor and oil brushes, and I wanted to combine them in a portrait of a woman, with a serene and sincere expression.

I started with the sketch, something really simple that I refined until I got the silhouette I wanted.

Once the sketch is finished, imagine the colors you would use, reddish and orange colors for the face, black and blue for the hair and various shades of red for the lips.

Each birth lives on beyond the patent effecting everything around and your work has done the same as i look at the birth of your mind on the page.

thank you very much @an-man I really liked your comment, I think that every time we put effort and heart into art it will come to life, thank you very much.

Your work reflects the heart you put in for many to see, know and grow from what you show. ;-)

Well done and I agree, a painting can be like a child sometimes @aryran

It is true , although that child sometimes gets into mischief 😁🤣 (art is elusive), thank you very much for your words @donnadavisart.
