Quarantine "art" 02

So i had an idea. And i started working on it. Someone who knows how After effects works would probably finish it in few hours. i am hopping to finish it till the end of the quarantine :)

Started with making a hive. Then wanted to animate it. after maybe a hour of thinking and trying to think how to do it, ended up making inverted photo of a hive, using track matte alpha and animating brush strokes. And i am sure there is a easier and faster way to do it, but i have no idea how.

So here is my first amazing test. And if there ever will be a finished product, it will look nothing like this.

And while i was exporting it, i thought maybe i could do it with particles. And after a hour of particle testing, no i can't. Maybe if i get Trapcode Particular plugin. Who knows.
