Lifeless nature facepainting

in OnChainArt4 years ago

The respect we owe to nature has to be learned everyday. I wonder how often people take a walk and ask themselves : how come this grass grows the way it does? How come trees grow so tall and this brown thing called soil sustains them? The miracle of the little things surrounds us everyday, but we fail to notice it anymore.

In this facepainting done by me called Lifeless nature I thought about the future of our environment. Mother Nature as we know it might be quite different 100 years from now if we keep ignoring the red flags of climate change.

I illustrated a lifeless Mother Nature. Shedding the last tears of grass while nothing than black hollow strands of dissapointment will grow from an infertile soil. Pollution and continuous waste creation leads to long term damage. Deforestation sucks the life out of the nature, bringing it from a vibrant green to nothingness. Just like the colour of a lifeless corpse, it all turns into a morbid blue. The signs of life that used to be.

I value nature and I admire it everyday. Just a tiny leaf growing from a tree is a miracle in itself. Take a leaf and study it, look at it. Feel its texture. It is a work of art, with precise details and a wonderful balance of creation. Be curious about the plants, the air, the birds, the soil. Everyday when you wake up you put your feet on the ground. On Earth. For those who live in poverty or in riches, we all need to put our feet on the floor when we wake up. That is a miracle in itself. Appreciate it. Admire it. Keep it. We are one with nature, not against it.

And here is another brilliant nature painting on the face once again. this is absolutely creative!

I really like nature because it connects me to reality and to the present moment

Hello! Thank you! Being connected with the present is the biggest source of inner joy one can find, I'm happy you're in such a place. Have a lovely day!

Woah this is so awesome! And the concept is really deep. Indeed, we fail to take care of our environment now and just notice it when it's already damaged. Really good face painting there. It inspires me to buy make up once again and paint my face like I did when I was a teenager. How long did it take you to paint this?

Thanks so much! Make-up is quite fun. A bit over 2 hours. Cleaning off after the mess and gathering the products lasts too.

That's so stunning - not just the face painting, but the sentiments behind it. I can't even put on mascara without poking myself in the eye, so this is terribly impressive, nature girl!

Hello! Thank you! I appreciate that you took the time to read about the meaning behind my facepainting. I am indeed a true fan of nature. Have a beautiful week ahead!

It is amazing how nature has taken its way, how the planet has healed in all this time of lock down. It is simply amazing. I am fascinated every time I watch videos of wild animals in urban areas. In my city you can see the macaws flying very low on the highway, since only very few cars circulate. Deer in residential areas, hawks in populated areas near the mountains that keep the air of the city breathable, which cleans us every day. And near the coasts, whale sharks, many, making their way near the fishermen.
However, what worries me the most is wondering how long nature can be moderately respected in terms of space. Well, this will not be forever, and I know that at some point we will revert to old habits, and the shipping routes will be regular, and in one day a year's recovery will be destroyed. And it will be again as you say and paint, vestiges of disappointment grass growing in infertile soil.

Hey Alejandra! Your comment is very well thought. I believe that nature can and will restore. I watched a documentary about Cernobyl and how all the animals inside the danger zone thrive. We need nature more than nature needs us. I think it's lovely that you can spot deers, macaws and other cute animals.

Making more space for nature should be a source of joy. I find it odd that we think of nature as being in the way of our concrete buildings when we will struggle to find fresh air to breathe in. As population increases I think the necessities for living spaces will need to include nature, not exclude it. In the summer, all of the classic building materials heat up and the cities are just radiating more and more heat. If there are no more trees to provide a bit of shade, it would be quite an urban sauna, at its best.

Thank you for making time, as usual, to read and comment on my post📖😊

Thank you for sharing your art and your vision.

😁I am always inspired when I see the appreciation for my art

OH NO!
The meaning of this painting is very sad, my eyes filled with tears since I began to read, I cannot imagine life without nature.
How beautiful it is to touch the ground with your feet, smell that amazing natural aroma of plants, enjoy the rain and rejoice when the water is spilled on the plants.
It is unfortunate that it is deteriorating.

Hey! Indeed it is. I appreciate nature too, therefore I believe it is vital to maintain the beauty of the natural environment. Thanks for reading!
