Hello!
I am finally back with another comic strip of @basicsoba! It's been days of shuffling between office work, personal projects and freelances, but lo and behold, I got this tiny snippet out and it's about my love of all things spicy. Who else a fan of spicy food? 🙋
It was years ago when I was having a course exchange with some of the students from Chengdu, China, and the group of us came upon this popular spice called "Hua Jiao" in Chinese/Mandarin or "Sichuan Pepper" in English. It numbs your tongue the very same time you feel the spiciness with each chew. It is such a exhilarating-slash-mind-blowing experience. Ultimately, the end of a meal with our beloved Sichuan Pepper often leaves us with an unexplainable burn that we felt(/un-felt) since our tongue are also numbed to any sensation at that point.

I'm still learning to draw a more expressive character at the moment, I've never really attempted this chibi style before starting this comic series but the initial goal of this series is just to keep my digital drawing muscles in check. Just few months ago, I picked up the wacom pen after very long and it took me quite a while to pen the exact curves needed and I swear I am not going back to that phase of my life. For what it's worth, all these have been really good practice and for those of you who are a fan or digital art, I urge you to keep drawing and practicing!
