King Camp Gillette
Well, today I will tell you how it was that I illustrated this character. I must first say that I did not know anything about him. It is more nor did I have in mind at some point illustrate it, it happens that when I began to illustrate I told my brother that it was a good idea to illustrate important characters, which we would look for on the calendar, according to their birthday or their date of death, so it was . The idea was a week before, so I checked the calendar and noticed that on January 5, 1888, King Camp Gillette was born, I began to read his biography on Wikipedia, so I found it interesting, since he was recognized as the inventor of the razor, which today is something essential for the vast majority of people, well so I started looking for photos about it, which is not easy because I was looking for a good photograph for a long time to illustrate it so I had the only one that I cataloged as good was this one in google.
Bien, hoy les contare como fue que ilustre este personaje. primero debo decir que no sabia nada de el. es mas ni tenia en mente en algun momento ilustralo, pasa que cuando comence a ilustrar le dije a mi hermano que era como buena idea ilustrar personajes importantes, los cuales buscariamos por el calendario, segun su cumpleaños o su fecha de muerte, entonces asi fue. la idea fue una semana antes, asi que revice el calendario y note que el 5 de enero del año 1888 habia nacido King Camp Gillette, comence a leer su biografia por wikipedia, asi que me parecio interesante, ya que fue reconocido como el inventor de la maquina de afeitar, cosa que hoy en dia es algo primordial para la gran mayoria de personas, bueno asi que comence a buscar fotos sobre el, cosa que no es facil porque me estuve mucho tiempo buscando una fotografia buena para poder ilustrarlo asi que tuve la unica que catalogue como buena fue esta en google.
This was the photograph from which I began to draw his illustration, which was somewhat difficult since I had to guess his skin tone, the color of his eyes and others, so I just noticed his gray hair because of the gray of his hair. since he was black and white and his mustache.
Esta fue la fotografia de la cual comence a sacar su ilustracion, cosa que era algo dificil ya que tenia que adivinar su tono de piel, el color de sus ojos y demas, asi que sin mas note sus canas por la gris de su cabello. ya que estaba en blanco y negro y su bigote.

I usually make a new 1500 x 1500 document
Normalmente hago un nuevo documento de 1500 x 1500
After placing the image already shown before, and so I began to make the plot
Luego de coloque la imagen ya antes mostrada, y asi comence a hacer el trazado
Then as I said before. I already had one of the most difficult parts of the illustration. the color of your skin and your eyes.
Luego como dije antes. ya me tocaba la una de las partes mas dificiles de la ilustracion. el color de su piel y su ojos.
Already having the base color, I could start to make the lighting, and likewise the shadows, do not apply many only those that I thought necessary, and illustrating black and white photographs is not as simple as doing it as a color one. so good apply shadows and lights to continue to the background and the rest.
Ya al tener el color base, podia empezar a hacer la iluminacion, y asi mismo las sombras, no aplique muchas solo las que crei necesarias, y esque ilustrar fotografias en blanco y negro no es tan sencillo como hacerlo como una a color. asi que bueno aplique sombras y luces para proseguir al fondo y lo demas.
Here we just needed to be a little more
creative with the background and bring it in line with the image that in this case was King Camp Gillette, so put your name and mine as author on the other side.
Ya aca solo faltaba ser un poco mas
creativo con el fondo y llevarlo conforme con la imagen que en este caso era King Camp Gillette, asi que coloque su nombre y en otro costado el mio como autor.
