100% agree here. I must admit, although I am not much traveller myself - I really enjoyed trip to Italy, Florence especially. Narrow streets, small cafes, townhouses renovated with taste and not repainted in some absurd colours. People just walk there, they don't run in a hurry like most European cities:)

Neobruatalism looks like cubism meets socialist realism a bit:D It is blocky, but you can see the play of form, the lines.
here you have example:

or UNESCO building

Tree thing

Ah! That is great example how tree can defend themselves. Chemistry behind this is just marvellous!

I am hugging trees on regular basis. Just lying under the tree and watch how magnificent crawn is created out of those strong branches... I just love it. Not sure if I've feelt vibration, I will be more attentive next time:)

Florence sounds wonderful. I can see why you enjoyed that trip.

That, just that, is so beautiful. I can visualize it there from your description.

😂 When I look at it from that angle, I can completely see it now. Especially in the second image. The first image, I've seen similar and those are the lines I really liked. Yes, blocky, a heavy feeling to them, with the linear repetitive movement suggesting a lightness at the same time. A contrasting contradiction. Interesting.

All of it blows my mind.

It's subtle. It's necessary to become still inside. Placing your hand on it, palm, non-dominant hand is helpful. A very old large tree is best.

Florence

What I liked best it was the smell. Air scent was like warm wood, like a fire in a chimney:) Was amazing.

Neobrutalism is interesting. I just like when every city, every country has some sort of identity, something unique, something that give you new sensations. It is just sad when you see copy a copy of a copy :/

Buzzing trees

I will definitely check it out!

Is that warm wood smell due to people using wood for heat? Reminds me of that.

Wood smoke smell here the last few weeks from the fires that are burning (supposedly it's over the size of Puerto Rico that has already burnt in Canada). Freaky seeing a very large part of Quebec catch on fire all at the same time out of nowhere on a cloudless day. Strange days.

I agree.

it would make sense, but it was a middle of summer, so there has to be some different reason.

That's scary! I imagine the drought is taking its toll on everyone right now. Here we had now rain for weeks, and that's never happens. Nature is up to something!

That's wild. Makes me think of sun warmed wood, lots of wood. I'd love that.

That's scary!

I suppose, although I didn't feel afraid. There's no drought that brought it on. No idea what the news is saying the cause is since I don't watch or read the news. My intuition (the only thing I trust) tells me it's all highly suspect. I don't need to know details, that's enough for me. 😂

I look at it from the point of view of a farmer's daughter:)
There is also a big drought in Poland as well, which means that not only will food be expensive, and not of very good quality.
Above all, it means that when the ground dries out enough - when it finally rains, there will be a flood. We have had several of these in the past. My parents don't live in or near a floodplain, but nevertheless it's always a great tragedy.

😂 Farming in your blood. Plus the fishing. Is there hunting and trapping too?

Is it just Poland that's experiencing a drought at present? Definitely that will drive up the cost of food and impact quality. One extreme to the other if a flood follows. Since your parents aren't in or near a floodplain, that tells me the flooding will be extreme.
