The experience in the church sounds interesting.
I can understand how moving you are to see photos of your plants, as you say, they were your babies and to see that even though you are not with them, they are blooming anyway, it is something that would make me tear up too.
The work that your landlord does is something that I admire, staying and taking care of other people's houses is something that I don't think I would be able to do if I were in his place.
It is good that you put effort into learning the language.
This is really generous of him and I wonder how he is doing all of these...Even he is taking care of my plants too...
Let's see how everything turns out in the future, hopefully, good things will happen...
