Do we work to live or live to work?
The answer to this is very clear to me, we work to live and not the other way round. It's only when you're alive and healthy that you can work. Some people focus on just work. Like they keep working and working from morning till night, everyday of the week. They are always busy chasing money.
Don't get me wrong, money is important and good. We need it for different things such as to pay bills, to pay fees, get food, get clothes, and also take care of our families and also do other things. But when we spend all day and time working, what's the point.
I believe work should help us enjoy life. Yes we should work but we should also try and enjoy life while we can, and rest when we need it. If you work too much without getting the rest that you need, you might break down one day or when you look back you'll feel a lot of regret.
I have seen people who worked so hard for long and many years and later became sick or even died. Their money couldn't save them. They didn't enjoy life. That's why we must balance everything, balance work and life, work when you can and rest when you need to.
Should we work hard? Ofcourse. But we must also live well. Living means eating well, spending time with the people precious to us, enjoying nature and be happy with what we have.
While we work, we should also take a break and breathe sometimes. Work is more than salaries, deadlines or job titles. Work is not our whole life. So we should take care of our lives and live well, because life is too short.
