You see, the last part of the year October, November and December always dey come with one special feeling. I no even fit explain am completely, but anytime we enter this season, e be like say everything dey change small small, from the weather to people mood, even the street vibes too.
October dey always start with that small seriousness. For me, na the month wey I dey try settle my mind and plan how the year go end. Sometimes e dey full of pressure because you go remember wetin you never achieve since January. But still, October dey carry this calm feeling, like say “guy, just relax, no be by rush.”
Then November, omo, this one na different vibe. You go start hearing small talk of Christmas, people go dey plan how to travel home, students go dey rush assignment, market women go don dey prepare for December sales. Even weather go change small cold breeze go dey blow, especially early morning and night. Me personally, I dey always enjoy November because e dey peaceful, and I like how everybody dey begin dey happy small small.
But December, na real final bus stop of joy. The whole place dey scatter with excitement. Street go full of light, songs go dey everywhere, you go smell fried meat and rice from neighbour house. I always dey look forward to Christmas period the outing, the celebration, even the noise self dey sweet me. People wey no get money go still find one way to smile. That time, e dey feel like problem no too dey matter again.
I remember last December, me and some friends go one small joint for evening, just dey gist and laugh about how the year waka us. We no even care whether things hard or soft, we just dey happy say we still dey alive. That’s how these three months dey be from reflection in October, hope in November, to happiness in December.
Life no easy, but once we reach these last months, I dey always thank God say I still stand. Because truly, these months na the one wey remind person say no matter how tough e be, joy still dey come last last.
