もう早クリスマスの準備ですか？！
近頃グッと気温が下がり、すっかり寒くなってきました。カナダでは感謝祭もハロウィンも終わり、もうすでにブラックフライデーやクリスマスの雰囲気が漂っています。アメリカの感謝祭は１１月末ごろにあると思いますので、カナダのクリスマス雰囲気は少し早めだと思います。生活用品や食品の買い物、郵便局などに出かけるたびに、少しずつ増えていくクリスマスのデコレーションや様子に気がつきます。
正直に言うと、１１月と１２月の目まぐるしい時期の雰囲気は少し苦手です。楽しい気持ちになることもあるのですが、ちょっと怖い気持ちになります。自分の家の飾りつけは、楽しめる範囲でシンプルにすることの方が多いです。ただ、きれいに飾り付けている人の家や町の様子を見るのは好きです。
日本に小包を送るために郵便局に行くと、サンタさんへの手紙受付ポストが設置されているのを見かけました。子供の頃、自分もサンタさんへの手紙を出したことがあるのを思いました。さらに、母の提案で、サンタさんから送ってもらいたいものを弟と二人で絵を描き、手紙を書いて壁に貼っておいたことも思い出しました。その頃は気がつきませんでしたが、両親が私たちが何が欲しいか確認するためにエンターテイメント性を持たせてくれていたのだと、後から気がつきました。そんなことを思い出しながら、町の様子の写真を撮ってきました。
農場ファームで販売されていたリースです。とても可愛らしいですね。
これはスーパーの前で販売されているリースです。ひとつ４０ドル、ふたつで７０ドル。このクオリティーで、高いのか安いのかちょっとわかりません。たくさん欲しい人はまとめ買いがいいのでしょうね。
郵便局にあった手作りのサンタさんへのお手紙ポストです。手作りでとても可愛らしいです。子供たちからの手紙がたくさん入っているのでしょうか。開けて中を見たい衝動にかられましたが、子供たちの夢が飛び出さないように、開けて中を見るのは我慢しました。
子供たちが欲しそうなおもちゃが充実していました。マカロンとアイスクリームのおもちゃがとても美味しそうでかわいいです。ちょうどよく子供の目線に置かれていますね。
こちらはペット用のクリスマスバージョンのおもちゃです。どれも可愛らしいですが、私の犬は一瞬で壊してしまうので、これは小型犬用によさそうですね。小さな犬たちが持っていたらかわいいですね。

Already Getting Ready for Christmas?!
The temperature is dropping steadily, and each day feels colder than the last. In Canada, we've already celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving, and the atmosphere for Black Friday and Christmas is already here. While Thanksgiving in the US falls in late November, Canadians tend to start their Christmas preparations a bit earlier.
When I went shopping or visited the post office, I've observed the gradual transformation of the town as Christmas decorations appear everywhere. Personally, I find the bustling atmosphere of November and December a mix of joy and unease. I usually limit my decorations to my house, I appreciate the splendid displays around town and on people's homes.
When I visited the post office to send a parcel, I noticed there was a mini post for sending letters to Santa. It brought back memories of my childhood when my mother encouraged my brother and me to write letters to Santa, detailing our Christmas wishes with drawings. We enjoyed hanging these letters on the wall. Reflecting on it now, I realize that our parents turned the activity into a form of entertainment to discover our desires naturally. I took some photos of the town while reminiscing about these memories.
There are Christmas wreaths at the farm market. They look very pretty, don't they?
These are wreath products in front of a local supermarket. They are priced at $40 for one or $70 for two. I'm not sure if these prices are reasonable for this quality. If people want to get many, they could be a good deal.
There was a handmade, pretty postbox to send letters to Santa Claus. I wondered if there were already many letters inside of it. My desire pushed my curiosity to check inside the postbox, but I didn't want to ruin the kids' dream. Their energy would disappear if I opened it. I stopped myself from doing that.
There were many interesting-looking toys for kids. The macaroons and ice cream toys look very tasty, don't they? The display of toys is perfect for kids' eye levels.
These Christmas-themed toys are for pets. Everything looks very pretty but my dog would destroy them in a second. They are probably good for small dogs. They look cute with small dogs.
Why, Christmas is really fast approaching now. Those decorations will surely click to the kids.
Yeah, Christmas and Black Friday commercials are everywhere already! I don't mind feeling happy, but sometimes it's too early.
