It's here, everyone! It's confirmed: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is coming in January 2026. Honestly, it's taken them a while to make this final season, and it looks like at the end of all this, we're going to be wanting more, because it looks like we'll only get a few episodes.
I mean, we barely stopped crying over everything that was broken last season and MAPPA is already telling us, "Bro, hold on because the Culling Game is coming." And that arc, if you've read the manga, you know it's a bloody, weird, and sometimes even frustrating fest, but it's still one of my favorite arcs and one of the longest-running in the manga.
But not only that: before the season itself starts, we're getting a compilation movie called Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution – Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins. Yes, the name is a long shot, but what matters is that it's going to serve as a review of Shibuya and also show the first two episodes of the new season. It's coming out in November 2025, so it's like the appetizer before the main course. In other words, hype upon hype.
And of course, all of this is being animated again by MAPPA. Yes, the same people who have accustomed us to burning their animators alive in exchange for giving us fights that look like they're straight out of a next-gen video game. Shōta Goshozono is still directing, and Hiroshi Seko is on the scripts.
And the mission is clear: turn the Culling Game arc into a visual spectacle that will leave you breathless. I mean, if Sukuna vs. Jogo already blew our minds, imagine what's coming next with a ton of new characters (HAKARI) and a bit more world-building.
Now, to be honest, there are risks too. The Culling Game arc is long and a bit convoluted, so if MAPPA rushes it, it could feel awkward, and if they make it too dense, some episodes might feel slow. But the good news is that they've already confirmed the season will be in two parts, so at least there's a chance they'll breathe a little bit of air amid all the madness and not cram everything into 12 episodes.
What I do hope is that they maintain that dark and oppressive atmosphere that Shibuya already had, because the level of despair here rises even more. We're going to see Itadori carrying guilt like he's not even 16, Megumi being a potential man for most of the story, and FINALLY Yuta joining the team of wizards. At least we have something to keep us from missing Gojo too much.
And meanwhile, we're all asking the same question: When is Gojo coming back? Because MAPPA has had projects announced in recent weeks, and while this season of JJK is more than confirmed, what I'm truly worried about is how many episodes it will be.
As for the animation, I'm ready for my eyes to bleed from how beautiful it's going to look. MAPPA specializes in adding brilliance and brutality to fights, and while they sometimes use weird CGI, like last season, I'm confident this one will be excellent again.
We just have to wait and see. First, until November, and then the season will come early next year. I've seen many theories that they'll only do a few short arcs in this first phase, and then announce the second part next year. Because yes, it's divided into two parts.

Ya está, genteeee, confirmado: la temporada 3 de Jujutsu Kaisen llega en enero de 2026 y, honestamente, se han tardado bastante en hacer esta ultima temporada y parece ser que al final de todo esto nos va a dejar con ganas de mas, porque parece que solo tendremos unos pocos episodios
O sea, apenas dejamos de llorar por todo lo que se rompió en la temporada pasada y MAPPA ya nos dice: “hermano, agárrate porque ahora viene el Culling Game”. Y ese arco, si leíste el manga, sabes que es una fiesta sangrienta, rara y a veces hasta frustrante pero aun asi es uno de mis arcos favoritos y uno de los que mas duran en el manga
Pero no solo eso: antes de que empiece la temporada en sí, vamos a tener una peli recopilatoria llamada Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution – Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins. Sí, el nombre es kilométrico, pero lo que importa es que va a servir como repaso de Shibuya y además va a mostrar los dos primeros episodios de la nueva temporada. Sale en noviembre de 2025, así que es como el aperitivo antes del plato fuerte. O sea, hype sobre hype.
Y claro, todo esto lo vuelve a animar MAPPA. Sí, los mismos que ya nos tienen acostumbrados a quemar a sus animadores vivos a cambio de darnos peleas que parecen sacadas de un videojuego de nueva generación. Shōta Goshozono sigue en la dirección, Hiroshi Seko en los guiones,
y la misión es clara: convertir el arco del Culling Game en un espectáculo visual que te deje sin aire. O sea, si lo de Sukuna contra Jogo ya nos voló la cabeza, imagínate lo que viene ahora con un montón de personajes nuevos (HAKARI) y un poco mas de construccion de mundo
Ahora, siendo honestos, también hay riesgos. El arco del Culling Game es largo y un poco enredado, así que si MAPPA se apresura puede quedar raro, y si lo hacen demasiado denso puede que algunos episodios se sientan lentos. Pero la buena noticia es que ya confirmaron que la temporada será en dos partes, así que por lo menos hay chance de que respiren entre tanta locura y no nos tiren todo comprimido en 12 capítulos.
Lo que sí espero es que mantengan ese toque oscuro y opresivo que ya tenía Shibuya, porque acá el nivel de desesperación sube todavía más. Vamos a ver a Itadori cargando culpas como si no tuviera 16 años, Megumi siendo potential man durante la mayoria de la historia y AL FIN Yuta se une al equipo de hechizeros, al menos tenemos algo para no extrañar demasiado a Gojo
Y mientras tanto, todos preguntándonos lo mismo: ¿cuándo regresa Gojo? Porque MAPPA en estas ultimas semanas si que ha tenido proyectos anunciados y aunque esta temporada de JJK esta mas que confirmada lo que verdaderamente me preocupa es de cuantos episodios va a ser.
En cuanto a la animación, yo ya estoy listo para que me sangren los ojos de lo bonito que se va a ver. MAPPA es especialista en darle brillo y brutalidad a las peleas, y aunque a veces meten CGI raro como en la ultima temporada pero tengo confianza en esta si que será excelente nuevamente
Solo queda esperar, primero a Noviembre y despues a principios del año que viene se viene la temporada, he visto muchas teorias de que van a hacer solo algunos arcos cortos en esta primera fase y despues para el año que viene van a anunciar esa segunda parte, porque si, está dividido en dos partes
I was really missing this anime. I've been waiting a long time for the third season, and finally we'll get it. I can't wait to see Itadori and Kuzuna in action again.
Sukuna probably won't appear this season, but he will definitely play an important role in the second half.
Descubrí este anime por casualidad a principios de este año y me cautivo, desde que vi la segunda temporada espero con ansias la tercera, pero saber que nos brindaran esta película es una alegría, así que pronto veremos un poco mas de todo este universo interesante, me has atraído muy gratas noticias con tu publicación
yo no me aguanté y me pasé al manga que por ese entonces estaba ya terminando, pero es de mis animes favoritos y sin duda el que mas espero
