The new songs for the Given movie are amazing (and painful)

Look, taking into account how beautifully painful the opening and original song for the first season were, I don’t know what this fool(me) was expecting, but I definitely underestimated how painful the new ones could be.
So Given is a boy love, music filled, character driven manga about losing someone you love and having to keep on living with that(in case you don’t know what it is), it got an anime adaptation in july 2019 with 11 episodes and its actually very good. It’s great in a lot of things (like animation, drawing style, colors and direction) even though it apparently had a limited budget and the story is actually well developed in the anime chapters, but what sets apart this anime is definitely the soundtrack, the heartbreaking, beautiful, amazing soundtrack.
The anime got a movie set during the second arc of the manga a few days ago (in Japan, which means us on the rest of the world have to wait for a kind soul to put subtitles on it), and since I read the manga I’ve been looking forward to it, and it was worth it, it was totally worth it, I can’t watch the movie yet but the songs are out already and it is just as beautiful as expected and it hurts and you need to listen to it.
Were the songs on the first season are mostly about regret and heartache, the ones for the movie revolve around moving on, the first one I heard was Yoru ga akeru in full version and it’s about feeling awful and confused but knowing dawn will come and things have to keep going.

And then I heard Stagekara kimi ni sasagu which means “I dedicate this to you from the stage” and you just know from that that it will hurt, like, you don’t even need to read more, the name hurts already, and there’s a part were the singer talks instead of singing and what he says oh my god my heart (If you know the story, you will understand why it hurts).

By the second one I was already thinking –Ok, this is too painful already so it can’t get worse- IT COULD AND IT DID, because then there is Bokura dake no shudaika reminding you that the characters love each other and it was beautiful but they have to say goodbye now for their own good and they don’t want to and it doesn’t just hurt IT BURNS and they dared put the guitar riff from the opening of the first season in the middle of the song just to play with your emotions of course they did.

Thankfully, the fourth one is the least painful one (Hetakuso), being all cute and dorky and precious and “Hey, if I’m with you, I won’t be afraid of the next winter”, so I did not die (Imagine if I knew Japanese already, I’d be devastated)

Mira, teniendo en cuenta lo hermosamente dolorosa que fue la apertura y la canción original de la primera temporada, no sé qué esperaba, pero definitivamente subestimé lo dolorosas que podrían ser las nuevas.
Given es un manga de romance, lleno de música, enfocado en sus personajes que trata sobre perder a alguien que amas y tener que seguir viviendo con eso (en caso de que no sepas qué es), obtuvo una adaptación de anime en julio de 2019 con 11 episodios y es realmente muy bueno. Es genial en muchas cosas (como animación, estilo de dibujo, colores y dirección) a pesar de que aparentemente tenía un presupuesto limitado y la historia está bien desarrollada en los capítulos del anime, pero lo que distingue a este anime es definitivamente la banda sonora, la desgarradora, hermosa banda sonora.
Le hicieron una película al anime, ambientada durante el segundo arco del manga hace unos días (en Japón, lo que significa que nosotros en el resto del mundo tenemos que esperar a que un alma amable le ponga subtítulos), y desde que leí el manga lo estaba esperando, , no puedo ver la película todavía, pero las canciones ya han salido y es tan hermosa como esperaba y duele y necesitas escucharlo.
Las canciones de la primera temporada son principalmente sobre arrepentimiento y dolor, las de la película giran en torno a seguir adelante, la primera que escuché fue Yoru ga akeru en versión completa y se trata de sentirse triste y confundido, pero saber que llegará el amanecer y el mundo tiene que seguir en movimiento.

Y luego escuché Stagekara kimi ni sasagu que significa "Te dedico esto desde el escenario" y ya duele, como, no necesitas leer más, el nombre ya duele, y hay una parte donde el cantante habla en lugar de cantar y es hermoso y triste (si conoces la historia, entenderás porque duele).

En la segunda ya estaba pensando –Ok, esto ya es demasiado doloroso así que no puede empeorar- SI PUEDE, porque luego está Bokura dake no shudaika recordándote que los personajes se aman y fue hermoso pero tienen que decir adiós ahora por su propio bien y no quieren y no solo duele QUEMA y pusieron el riff de guitarra de la apertura de la primera temporada en el medio de la canción solo para jugar con tus emociones, por supuesto que lo hicieron.

Afortunadamente, la cuarta canción es la menos dolorosa (Hetakuso), todo lindo y precioso y "Oye, si estoy contigo, no tendré miedo al próximo invierno", así que no me morí (Imagínate si ya supiera japonés, estaría devastada)

Hermosa narrativa, al leer se sienten las palabras en el corazón.
He descubierto en el anime hermosas canciones e historias como dices, desgarradoras. Me encantó la narrativa, dejas muy claro el contexto y las emociones que van intensificándose a medida que avanzas. No he escuchado los audios todavía, pero lo haré y sé que me conmoverán, aún sin conocer la historia. Esas bandas sonoras tienes la capacidad de removerte todo.
