It's been several days since I attended Akiba Fest, my first time at this amazing festival that brings together the best of anime, comics and video games. Today I want to share with you a little bit of what I was able to enjoy that day.
Han pasado varios días desde que asistí al Akiba Fest, mi primera vez en este increíble festival que reúne lo mejor del anime, los cómics y los videojuegos. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un poco de lo que pude disfrutar ese día.
The festival was held in my city on Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19, with an agenda full of surprises. The chosen place was the Los Próceres shopping mall, which opened its doors for many anime lovers to gather and share an unforgettable moment.
The venue was divided into multiple stands offering a variety of items for sale: from t-shirts to small key chains and collectibles. For me, it was a real visual feast. I passed by each booth several times to make sure I didn't miss anything, and boy was it worth it! I found some Deathly Hallows earrings from the fondly remembered Harry Potter franchise.
El festival se realizó en mi ciudad los días sábado 18 y domingo 19 de mayo, con una agenda cargada de sorpresas. El lugar elegido fue el centro comercial Los Próceres, que abrió sus puertas para que muchos amantes del anime se dieran cita y compartieran un momento inolvidable.
El recinto estaba dividido en múltiples stands que ofrecían una variedad de artículos para la venta: desde camisetas hasta pequeños llaveros y artículos de colección. Para mí, fue un verdadero festín visual. Pasé varias veces por cada stand para asegurarme de no perderme nada, ¡y vaya que valió la pena! Encontré unos zarcillos con las Reliquias de la Muerte, de la recordada franquicia de Harry Potter.
One of the most anticipated activities was the participation of Juan Guzman, actor and dubbing director, known for voicing Rick Harrison in "The Price of History", Rick Sanchez in "Rick and Morty" and for being the current voice of Aquaman in DC Comics animated productions, among others. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious, and the audience vibrated as they listened to him perform the voices of their iconic characters.
Una de las actividades más esperadas fue la participación de Juan Guzmán, actor y director de doblaje, conocido por dar voz a Rick Harrison en "El precio de la historia", Rick Sánchez en "Rick y Morty" y por ser la voz actual de Aquaman en las producciones animadas de DC Comics, entre otros. Su energía y entusiasmo fueron contagiosos, y el público vibró al escucharlo interpretar las voces de sus personajes icónicos.
I also took the opportunity to take lots of pictures with cosplayers who did a magnificent job portraying their favorite characters. The energy that each one transmitted, from the youngest to the oldest, was impressive. They were all very friendly during the photo sessions. Afterwards, some of them paraded down the runway, showing off their costumes and doing poses emblematic of their characters.
También aproveché para tomarme infinidad de fotos con cosplayers que hicieron un trabajo magnífico al representar a sus personajes favoritos. La energía que cada uno transmitía, desde los más pequeños hasta los más grandes, era impresionante. Todos fueron muy amables durante las sesiones de fotos. Después, algunos de ellos desfilaron por la pasarela, luciendo sus trajes y haciendo poses emblemáticas de sus personajes.
I thoroughly enjoyed that day, surrounded by people who showed a palpable love not only for anime, but for the whole culture it represents. Every hour was a new adventure, and I hope to be able to repeat the experience very soon. Akiba Fest 2024 was a vibrant and exciting celebration that I will not forget.
Disfruté muchísimo ese día, rodeado de personas que mostraban un amor palpable no solo por el anime, sino por toda la cultura que representa. Cada hora fue una nueva aventura, y espero poder repetir la experiencia muy pronto. Akiba Fest 2024 fue una celebración vibrante y emocionante que no olvidaré.

This looks so fun (｡♡‿♡｡) I never attended something like this beforr, I love anime but not to the point of attending one and if something like this happened, it always on yhe big cities. But, if it's available in our place I'll surely visit it too and feast my eyes woth those awesome items and awesome cosplayers (｡♡‿♡｡)
This was my first time at an event like this and believe me I really enjoyed it, the energy that each of the people there had was simply contagious.
My eyes were delighted not only with the great cosplayers but with each of the items they had for sale.
I loved hearing live the voice of SpongeBob's captain and Sailor Venus' transformation 😍
What a nice event with lots of activity and tempting merchandise, a sin for the wallet hahaha
The costumes are very well done, the powerpuff girls look great haha 🦉
No doubt it was difficult to go through each of the stands and resist the temptation to buy everything they were selling, it takes a lot of self-control. But well, the important thing was to enjoy the moment and that's what I did.
A great event that brought together many lovers of the world of animation in the city of Maracay, offering a good show and many options to take a souvenir.

It was certainly a great show that was enjoyed for 2 days in the city. I am delighted to have been able to attend and take away a pleasant impression. I loved the passionate way the cosplayers interpreted their characters, I think it was one of the things I liked the most.
