I was looking for some fantasy comedy Webtoons to read one day, and I stumbled upon this Webtoon, the title of which caught my attention. It's called Secretly More Powerful than the Hero.
Although I had some idea of the plot based on the title, I decided to give it a shot. It's currently ongoing, and has 83 free available chapters to read on the Webtoon website, and an additional five chapters you can unlock by using coins on the app. I only read up to chapter 71, as it's the conclusion for Season 1... but I'll continue reading it once Season 2 is completed.
Anyway, let me tell you about this Webtoon!

The main character, Yurian, aspired to be an "unassuming hero" who may seem ordinary but is actually exceptionally strong. He didn't like how the main characters in comics were OP, and admired those secretly powerful ones.
As a result, he developed a special skill to help others in secret.
However, by some crazy fate, he met "Truck-kun" and was isekai-d to another world. hahahahaha (It was so predictable, but I found it funny... sorry.. XD)
The goddess of reincarnation then welcomed him. She was anticipating his arrival and offered him the chance to be whoever or whatever he wanted to be in this new world because his good deeds delighted her.
And so, he asked her to make him into the very character he has always aimed to be, a secretly OP wimp. hahaha
His wish was granted, but there's a catch... his heart will explode as soon as his secret is discovered. What will our secretly OP wimp do? Read to find out more! XD
I found this Webtoon (at least the first season) oddly entertaining despite it being quite predictable. There's something about it that made me want to keep on reading.

Although he sounds stupid at times, I find him interesting. He's the weak Yurian at times, and when time calls for it, he disguises himself as Yuri... sblabla. (He's so random! XD)
It's so funny how he tries to forcefully tell others how weak he is, but they already know he's more than what he shows them. It's so hilarious how he often misunderstands his ability to keep his secret from the people in the magic school.
His stupidity is so entertaining. I suppose that's one of the reasons I enjoyed it, even though the plot was simple and the scenes were average.
The art style isn't as gorgeous as most fantasy Webtoons, but it leans more towards the cute side. Not my favorite, but still pleasing to see.
Aside from the already crazy main character, there are also a lot of other interesting characters. And ohh... this Webtoon is also a kind of parody... There are references to some anime characters. I think it's also because the OC MC (before being isekai-d) was sort of an otaku. And did I tell you I like otaku MCs? They're quite relatable. hahaha XD
So random... XD I guess he's so confident since he's OP... xD
Will I recommend this? --- Maybe? There's nothing really special about it, or anything that makes it stand out.
However, I did enjoy it. I love its randomness, as well as its occasional funny scenes and exciting fight scenes.
So, if you're bored and have nothing to read, maybe... give this one a shot. :)
