~ Artificial Upgrades ~
There is an art to balancing life. I don't claim to be an expert in life or balancing it out.
In fact, i find it quite difficult to balance dad life with a new baby and Hive curation... let alone publishing content for my own benefit.
First world problems ulitmately. Overall HIVE helps me pay for baby formula and diapers without having to give up my skin in the game.
I would call that a blessing but it's not for nothing. There is quite a bit of time and attention that goes into curating and organizing a community, from a moderation and curation point of view.
I don't get much time for anything personal anymore but i did want to show the upgrades of the AI art from where it was before to where it is now. I reran many of the prompts from earlier in the last 2 years-ish.

I did a run of generated art in regard to masks. I felt like sometimes the request to do a mask added an extra layer of intrigue.
Though, at some point, adding a mask to the final outcome just made the details around the subject stand out.
MASK
Running the old image prompts and comparing the outcomes was fun. The bot and HD options have improved since earlier before.
I tried to show a range of images that were essentially new compared to the olden days when i originally prompted the bot to come up with some outputs.
I also tried to mix things up so it wasn't the ladies depicted.

Believe it or not, there is a lot of imagery potential that generating images only ever scratches the surface of making.
Contours and Content
There are a few ideas and people that i imagine together in an image sense. I try to generate these outcomes based on interesting combos to be put into the prompts.
Sometimes it's mythology based.
Sometimes it's from a fine art's perspective.
In the end, it can be how the suggestions finalize into some depicted form of art.
Refining those depictions via prompt is an artform in and of itself!
I won't show all the reasons and give examples why... but for those that know and have the eyes to see.... it becomes more and more obvious.

Light of Enlightenment
It has been really interesting to see how many outcomes can be generated form text. It has been also very interesting to see how very specifically instructed scenarios could be used to prompt the outcomes as well.
Detailing the artist or style/motiff has been an interesting part of how to prompt at all. Making the combo just right is particularly satisfying.
Once subtle variation from the last or to the next paves a future of digital interaction that only gets more cohesive as time and effort moves forward... then the experimentations take on a whole new life.
It never gets old to see how the AI adjusts to the inquiries of old and artificially updates them to match the now.

ONE Run To The NEXT
I do run prompts a zillion times to see if and when each output is the best output for what i originally had in mind to be as the outcome. Running these prompts over and over to only appreciate the smallest and most subtle difference is what makes it all worthwhile for me.
Appreciate
There are a million options how things could turn out... but guiding and influencing the navigation of those outcomes is quite the adventure.
I noticed the variations from one run to the next were very consistent as well as accurate with the newest updated bots and models. The overall idea and structure remained the same as the subtle differences of the details of each prompt changed.
Eventually, i found outcomes and prompts that i liked and mixed and merged those into something even more successful than i could have ever imagined.
The miniscule differences were enough to make a bold variation of the options but were also small enough to not alter the overall constructs or designs of the prompts.
This lent itself to seeing many runs of prompts that were only slightly different but successful enough from the onset to only be modified in the slightest each run!
I do always enjoy some throwbacks. The old timey art is some of the best. Trying to recreate the old art with new tech ends up to be a very fun process.
It is very interesting to see new things and themes redesigned or reimagined and applied for us now, artistically.
The small change from one representation to another can make all the artistic difference in the world.

At The End
At the end of the day, i may not get much time to myself or to do all the duties i have on HIVE... however, I will always have time to run a few word prompts into the AI bot to see what we get as an output.
Each time keeps getting better and better!

I had a tablet in Argentina, but not now. I'm thinking about going back to designing in Corel like I did before, vector design to see if I remember old things!
I need to get a tablet of some kind and try out digital art with something a bit more precise than my mouse. Glad you took the time to read the post and share one of your favorite images!
Working with the mouse is complicated, that's why I'm thinking of going back to corel draw to draw, because for now I can't use a tablet.... but it's true that it would be great. I hope you get it soon and I hope to see your creations!
I have heard of Corel but i'm not too familiar with their stuff. I've been meaning to get a tablet or display for a long time to upgrade my digital art. It takes way too long to make physical art and then upload or scan it and then begin to digitally manipulate it. For me, it's too much so i have waited a very long time to get digitized but i'm still not in too big of a hurry. I would rather get what fits right than pay for one that i end up not liking and not using. hahaha
I totally agree with that, art for example oil painting takes time, I still do that sometimes and then uploading it is time consuming.
A tablet would be great but you have to choose one that suits you and has a lot of detail to do what you want to do. I haven't practised much on them, maybe later I'll look for one .... interesting.
The corel I have used is vectorial, you can make drawings like illustrations and they are very good. Then the corel paint, it's for tablet, that's great, I always see an artist who uses it and she's a genius!

They are all images only generated from text... albeit, the text prompt has been carefully crafted and refined by me for a couple of years. I take not much of the credit.... the bot and all the added features really do a majority of the heavy lifting. But guiding the generations with my text and descriptors has a vast influence over the final outcomes. Thanks for swinging by and taking the time to comment.
I love all the images, I'm a bit picky when it comes to AI Art, for me they must convey realism, be aesthetic, and all your images achieve that.
I haven't tried the bot, and I'm impressed that your outputs are so beautiful, sharp, a Midjourney style.

Thanks for your awesome comment. I am very picky when it comes to AI art outputs myself. Having had to curate and moderate such AI content for so long, seeing the progress of how things have progressed is really cool.
It doesn't take much to look and see if it's just an app or simple AI output or if it has some more nuance and thoughtful prompting behind the concepts. If you saw how many subtle differences there were from one output to another... it would make more sense why is spend so much time selecting only the right ones (in my opinion) to share!
I loved each of all of these for different reasons. The nudes were my favorite but i don't want to feel like a pervert just generating too many nude images. hahaha

Haha, I was just writing that I feel kind of uneasy, using AI powered tools in Photoshop and look at you! Working with AI like a painter using his colour palette :)
I should probably start embracing the new technology before it advance so much that I would not be able to do so!
There is an ethical and heated debate about how to feel about AI and it's potential applications in the arts. I have written about it in much more detail on a few of my other AI Art posts from the past.
I try to be the painter using it as a tool rather than an artist with no skill or talent depending on it to be good. A photographer with actual editing skills utilizing the modern technology and tools to speed up and streamline their workload is hardly the same as many who have tried to pass off AI images as their own 'photography'. hahaha
I'm sure Photoshop has some great AI tools.

Thank you Thank you! I am super happy that you appreciated my style in these expressions and can tell the difference from others. That is wonderful to hear. I try to set myself apart from other AI art that we see a lot of. I also try hard to get really good images by refining the prompts and subtly changing the images. It can be difficult to get exactly what you want or to have it be consistent once you do get things how you like. It's a delicate balance and quite a dance.

I enjoy running prompts testing out different variations on females with red hair. It can have some stunning results at times. Eventually i will edit and make compositions like a collage or try and do some traditional mediums of some of my outputs.

Ausbit has a test bot with xl models. It's like starting out a run upscaled. I had a feeling that would be your favorite.
I saw that he had some upscaling features but I'm so behind on all the commands now, I know there's a ton of models I haven't explored at all either 😭
Yes, the regular bot has a zillion features. The newer testbot uses super HD large models so they have some amazing results. You'll have to find some time to play around with it a bit.

I think my first attempts on Ausbit's bot was a failed try to generate some redhaired females. The results were poor but mostly because of my prompts and how long ago it was in the evolution of all of Ausbit's tweaks to the bots.
I guessed i have been enamored with redhair for a long time and it is dangerous. hahaha
