Greetings community! Today I show you one of my practices, I have created my own brush "hair strand" which I called "hair" thinking about the wear of my digital tablet.
¡Saludos comunidad! Hoy les muestro una de mis prácticas, he creado mi propio pincel "hebra de cabello" el cual le llame "pelo" pensando en el desgaste de mi tableta digital.
An angel who is not an angel
I have been frustrated trying to recreate angels for about three drawings now, but the wings, the feathers, they look terrible, they ruin my design, I have felt frustrated, but far from abandoning it, I have to keep practicing. I will keep watching tutorials to learn.
This design was also inspired by angels, when I finished I showed it to my family and they wrinkled their faces, I knew that the wings were not successful, so I decided to remove them, they liked the design itself better, which I then proceeded to give it artistic touches.
In spite of being another failed attempt, at least this one I finished drawing it, the others, maybe I will retake them later, when it occurs to me, how to modify them so that they look good.
What at the beginning started as an angel, ended up being an ordinary person in the light of a sunset.
I like to show not only my progress in this, but also the horrible fails, because many of us who draw, get frustrated because we demand so much of ourselves. We forget that we also learn from our mistakes, besides, we can do it with style.
Un ángel que no es un ángel
Llevo como tres dibujos frustrados tratando de recrear ángeles, pero las alas, las plumas, me quedan fatales, arruinan mi diseño, me he sentido frustrada, pero lejos de abandonarlo, más bien debo seguir practicando. Seguiré viendo tutoriales para aprender.
Este diseño también estaba inspirado en los ángeles, al culminar lo mostré a mi familia y arrugaron la cara, sabía que las alas no estaban logradas, por lo cual, decidí quitarlas, les gustó más el diseño solo en sí, al cual luego procedí darle toques artísticos.
A pesar de ser otro intento fallido, al menos este terminé de dibujarlo, los otros, quizá los retome más adelante, cuando se me ocurra, cómo modificarlos para que se vean bien.
Lo que al principio comenzó como un ángel, terminó siendo una persona común a la luz de un anochecer.
Me gusta mostrar no solo mis avances en esto, también los horribles fails, porque muchos de quienes dibujamos, entramos un una frustración por exigirnos tanto. Se nos olvida que de los errores también se aprende, además, podremos hacerlo con estilo.

Step 1️⃣ / Paso 1️⃣
So far so good...
I make my sketch, capturing my idea, I place the base color, I go directly to test my "hair" brush, the brush that I had been thinking about creating for days, to not wear so much my digital tablet, because when making the hair strands, it suffers a lot, it is scratched and in addition to this it wears a lot the tip of the brush, even if I do not put pressure on it, it suffers in the same way. It is not the same to mark a thousand strands of hair than to mark half of it, so after several attempts I managed to create a brush with multiple strands, even so I consider that I must continue polishing it.
Then I jumped to the background, marking clouds in the sky, stars and color gradient.
Hasta aquí estábamos bien...
Hago mi boceto, plasmando mi idea, coloco el color base, voy directamente a probar mi pincel "pelo", el pincel que desde días venía pensando crear, para no desgastar tanto mi tableta digital, ya que al hacer las hebras de cabello, ella sufre mucho, está rayada y además de esto desgasta mucho la punta del pincel, aunque no haga presión sobre ella, de igual manera sufre. No es lo mismo marcar mil hebras de cabello que marcar la mitad, así que tras varios intentos logré crear un pincel de múltiples hebras, aun así considero debo seguir puliéndolo.
Luego salté al fondo, marcar nubes en el cielo, estrellas y degradado de color.

I've been using some free brushes from Medibang, I like their variety, I used some to recreate stars.
Here begin my failed attempts with the wings....
I lost count of how many times I tried with various brushes, in the end I thought this shape looked better, after making a wing, I tried to reproduce it and adjust it to the other place, however, it seemed to me that they were not integrated to the design, I thought it was logic, the wings are attached to the body, I rolled the layer overlapping the other ones but.... It looked bad anyway, I manipulated its perspective, I decided to leave it that way.
I worked the skin as I learned now, with acrylic and a lot of blurring with the watercolor brush to integrate the colors.
Estuve usando algunos pinceles gratuitos de Medibang, me gusta su variedad, usé algunos para recrear estrellas.
Aquí comienzan mis intentos fallidos con las alas...
Perdí la cuenta de cuántas veces lo intenté con varios pinceles, al final pensé que esta forma quedaba mejor, luego de hacer un ala, pretendí reproducirla y ajustarla al otro lugar, sin embargo, me parecía que no se integraban al diseño, pensé que se trataba de lógica, las alas van pegadas al cuerpo, rodé la capa superponiéndola de las otras pero... Se veía mal igual, manipulé su perspectiva, decidí dejarla de esa forma.
Trabajé la piel como ahora aprendí, con acrílico y mucha difuminación con el pincel acuarela para integrar los colores.

Step 3️⃣ / Paso 3️⃣
I try to highlight more the eyes, I apply an eyeliner and makeup.
Working on the clothes I wanted to give a rough texture like velvet, something similar, for this I used watercolor and soft pastel brushes, in all blue gradients.
The background of the design is always a subject that worries me, because I usually exaggerate it and sometimes it ruins my design, I reproduced the flowers, I placed them behind and applied filters to make it look blurred, with that I have finished. I hope you like my design today.
Por la posición del rostro, los ojos me costó un poco hacerlos, a veces no sabía por dónde iba o qué línea seguir, al final pude lograrlos. El maquillaje ayuda a minimizar ciertas imperfecciones.
Realizo los labios, realmente los hago muy sencillos y en dos pasitos, color base y aerografía.
Luego trabajo en el vestido de la chica, me encantó el efecto de acuarelas, para cerrar con unos destellos de luz, hechos con pinceles de Medibang.
Luego decidí quitarles las alas y me gustó más como quedó, realmente arruinaban el diseño.

Me parece muy atractivo, puede que en ocasiones no salga lo que nos imaginamos. En mi caso he tenido un poco de pavor de dibujar, siempre me pongo un poco reflexivo sobre el asunto. He estado dando un giro que parece cíclico que termina en el mismo punto, pero creo que voy a optar por dejarme llevar en los próximos días.
En ocasiones saldrá y en ocasiones simplemente deberá estar guardado todo. Me gusta la forma, y este giro, creo que hay un trasfondo en la expresión de los colores y la percepción que da al visualizarlo.

Hola mi querido, lo importante es no caer en eso de autoexigirnos demasiado ni compararnos con Dali o Da Vinci, cada quien tiene su estilo. Yo no tengo pena de mostrar mis aciertos y desaciertos, son parte de mi crecimiento.
No todos los dibujos me salen bien, unos me dan risa y otros mal logrados que dan ganas de llorar. Sin embargo como te digo, enfrascarse con un solo dibujo que ya de pos si no va a funcionar es bueno soltarlo y guardarlo, quizá hasta eliminarlo. Volver a comenzar un nuevo lienzo. Un fuerte abrazo para ti también, sigue haciendo maravillas.
El tema de la pintura y el dibujo siempre ha sido muy susceptible para mí, es algo que quiero hacer con mucha fuerza, pero reflejando mis gustos como siempre. He intentado hacerlo, pero me he dado un tiempo de pausa, es que lo más importante es poder tener la conexión con ello.
