Inktober is a drawing challenge that involves creating a drawing every day in October based on a series of words or phrases. It encourages people to draw and improve their drawing skills. It was created by Jake Parker and was originally a challenge where participants had to draw with ink and, obviously, using traditional methods, but over the years people have participated using a variety of materials, both traditional and digital. This year, I decided to complete the House of Wizard Inktober challenge, and I will be following each daily theme to the letter.

Inktober es un reto de dibujo, el cual consiste en hacer un dibujo cada día del mes de octubre, mediante una serie de palabras o frases. Incentivando a las personas a dibujar y mejorar en el dibujo. Fue creado por Jake Parker y originalmente es un reto en donde la persona tiene que dibujar con tinta y evidentemente en tradicional, pero a lo largo de los años las personas participan con diversos materiales, ya sea en tradicional o digital. Para este año, me propuse terminar el Inktober de House of Wizard y es el que estaré siendo al pie de la letra cada tema diario.

At first, I had thought about making a kind of secret tower using a tree, that is, making a super-large tree that would serve as the secret tower inside, but in the end, I didn't have enough inspiration to do it that way, so I just made a generic tower.

Al principio había pensado en hacer un especie de torre secreta mediante un árbol, es decir; hacer un árbol super grande y que ese mismo fuese la torre secreta por dentro, pero al final no tuve tanto la inspiración necesaria para hacerlo así y solo hice una torre genérica.

To give it a different touch, what I did was make a kind of hat as the main roof of the tower, thus giving the tower a bit of a magical look.

Para darle un toque diferente, lo que hice fue hacerle una especie de sombrero como techo principal de la torre, así darle un poco de visión mágica a la torre.

When I had the sketch ready, I cleaned it up a bit and added some details, then began to add more details with ink.

Cuando tuve el boceto listo, lo que hice fue limpiar un poco el mismo y detallarlo ligeramente, para luego comenzar a detallarlo con tinta.

After a while, I finished it and added some final details, and that's it, folks. I must say that it took me longer than I thought, so on day two, I'll do the drawing in a linear art style, since the idea of the challenge is to draw every day, and I don't want to spend hours doing a drawing. If I want to complete the challenge, I have to manage my time well.

Luego de un rato lo tuve terminado y pase a hacerle algunos detalles finales y listo amigos, eso seria todo. Debo decir que si me tomo mas tiempo de lo pensado, así que en el día dos haré el dibujo solo al estilo arte lineal, ya que la idea del reto es dibujar diario y no quiero pasar horas haciendo un dibujo, ya que si quiero terminar el reto completo, es algo que tengo que gestionar en cuanto al tiempo.
