[Splinterlands] Two gun Pete - Social Media

Hello everyone! Welcome to my art blog, today I want to share my latest artwork with you. I had the opportunity to participate in the social media section of Splinterlands, a very popular online gaming platform. And for my entry, I chose to make a fanart of the character "Two gun Pete".

If you don't know him, "Two gun Pete" is a character from Splinterlands that looks like a pirate with a crazy grin and, as his name suggests, he owns two guns. But, in my design, I decided to change the pistols for two huge daggers, one in each hand, to give him a more intimidating and dangerous look.

Working on this illustration was a great challenge and, at the same time, a great opportunity to improve my digital art skills. I used different techniques and tools to create the effect of shadows and lights on the character, and I chose a subdued color palette to bring him to life.

In my opinion, the final result looked awesome, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to share it with the Splinterlands community. I hope you like it as much as I do.

For me, digital art is an amazing way to express myself and share my creativity with the world. I love exploring different styles and techniques to create unique and exciting works that convey emotions and tell stories.

¡Hola a todos! Bienvenids a mi blog de arte, hoy quiero compartir mi última obra de arte con ustedes. Tuve la oportunidad de participar en la sección social media de Splinterlands, una plataforma de juego en línea muy popular. Y para mi entrada, elegí hacer un fanart del personaje "Two gun Pete".

Si no lo conocen, "Two gun Pete" es un personaje de Splinterlands que se parece a un pirata con una sonrisa loca y, como su nombre indica, posee dos pistolas. Pero, en mi diseño, decidí cambiar las pistolas por dos enormes dagas, una en cada mano, para darle un aspecto más intimidante y peligroso.

Trabajar en esta ilustración fue un gran desafío y, al mismo tiempo, una gran oportunidad para mejorar mis habilidades en el arte digital. Utilicé diferentes técnicas y herramientas para crear el efecto de sombras y luces en el personaje, y elegí una paleta de colores tenues para darle vida.

En mi opinión, el resultado final quedó impresionante, y me alegra haber tenido la oportunidad de compartirlo con la comunidad de Splinterlands. Espero que les guste tanto como a mí.

Para mí, el arte digital es una forma increíble de expresarme y compartir mi creatividad con el mundo. Me encanta explorar diferentes estilos y técnicas para crear obras únicas y emocionantes que transmitan emociones y cuenten historias.

Pirates of ΛZMΛRÉ must earn their weaponry. The magic of the musket is heavily protected, as guns are only passed down from captain to trusted mate. Many of these muskets are even laden with enchantments that cause them to self-destruct if they ever fall into unworthy hands. Pirates never carry two guns, and it is widely known that the rotten captain known as Two-Gun Pete acquired his second gun (and perhaps his first as well) through treachery and murder.

Los piratas de ΛZMΛRÉ deben ganarse su armamento. La magia del mosquete está fuertemente protegida, ya que las armas sólo se transmiten de capitán a compañero de confianza. Muchos de estos mosquetes están incluso cargados de encantamientos que hacen que se autodestruyan si alguna vez caen en manos indignas. Los piratas nunca llevan dos pistolas, y es bien sabido que el malvado capitán conocido como Pete Dos Pistolas adquirió su segunda pistola (y quizá también la primera) mediante la traición y el asesinato.

To begin with, when I decided to make the fanart for "Two gun Pete", I decided to do it using the grayscale technique. This technique allows me to concentrate on the contrast of the image and the composition before applying the color, which is essential to create a balanced work. The drawing as usual I start with the sketch, I focused on creating the character of "Two gun Pete". I chose a semi-realistic drawing style, based largely on the reference design, but changing some of the aspects of the character. I wanted him to look intimidating and dangerous, so I drew him with the two huge daggers in each hand. I then went on to apply a gray base coat, on which I started working on the details. I used the shading technique to give depth and dimension to the character and enhance the details in his costume. This process consists of applying layer after layer of shading, all very slowly to obtain a subtle gradient of the shades.

Para empezar, cuando decidí realizar el fanart de "Two gun Pete", decidí hacerlo utilizando la técnica de escala de grises. Esta técnica me permite concentrarme en el contraste de la imagen y en la composición antes de aplicar el color, lo cual es esencial para crear una obra equilibrada. El dibujo como es costumbre empiezo con el boceto, me enfoqué en crear el personaje de "Two gun Pete". Elegí un estilo de dibujo semirealista, basándome en gran medida al diseño de referencia, aunque cambiando algunos de los aspectos del personaje. Quería que tuviera un aspecto intimidante y peligroso, así que lo dibujé con las dos enormes dagas en cada mano. Luego pase a aplicar una capa base de color gris, en la cual empecé a trabajar con los detalles. Utilicé la técnica de sombreado para darle profundidad y dimensión al personaje y realzar los detalles en su vestuario. Este proceso consiste en ir aplicando capa tras capa de sombreado, todo muy lentamente para obtener un degradado de sutil de las tonalidades.

Finally, it was time to apply the color. I decided to use the color palette of the reference design, such as greens and blues, to be more faithful to the original design. In addition, I used a lighting technique to emphasize the points of light in the image and highlight the most important aspects of the character. Once I had the color image ready, I started working on the background. I wanted to create a mysterious and gloomy atmosphere, so I decided to set the work in a foggy night. I used a palette of blue and gray colors to create the fog and give depth to the image. I also added the relief of a ship peeking through the fog, which gave a more shadowy and mysterious touch to the work. And that's how I created my digital artwork of "Two gun Pete". Finalmente, llegó el momento de aplicar el color. Decidí utilizar la paleta de colores del diseño de referencia, como verdes y azules, para ser más fiel al diseño original . Además, utilicé una técnica de iluminación para enfatizar los puntos de luz en la imagen y destacar los aspectos más importantes del personaje. Una vez que tenía la imagen a color lista, comencé a trabajar en el fondo. Quería crear una atmósfera misteriosa y tenebrosa, así que decidí ambientar la obra en una noche nebulosa. Utilicé una paleta de colores azules y grises para crear la niebla y dar profundidad a la imagen. También añadí el relieve de un barco asomándose entre la niebla, lo cual le dio un toque más tenebroso y misterioso a la obra. Y así es como creé mi obra de arte digital de "Two gun Pete".
