"I've always found that anything worth achieving will always have obstacles in the way and you've got to have that drive and determination to overcome those obstacles on route to whatever it is that you want to accomplish." - Chuck Norris
I love to drive, there's me above driving my truck, but this isn't about driving my truck - it's about driving my life.
The recently deceased Chuck Norris was an incredible person, a high achiever and if anyone said otherwise they're deluding themselves. Go and read that quote above, absorb it and then have a think about how you've applied it to your life, that's if you have actually applied it to your life.
Drive and determination
Sounds easy but it's not. There's many other things that have to come together to create them and in my experience those willing to make the effort, that have the right attitudes, who know their goals and why they're so important and have the discipline to apply the elements consistently are the people who achieve above average or optimal results.
The others...well, mediocrity just sits so comfortably upon the uninspired I guess.
How have you found the drive and determination to define, set and chase goals? How have you dealt with the obstacles be they physical, financial, intellectual, emotional or otherwise?
Feel free to comment if you're inspired to and if you're one of those uninspired people I mention above well...whatever.

Your on the wrong side of the road...
Lol.
When I see some selling trading movements or courses I always say "if it was so easy to get rich everyone would be", every big achievement will require work or effort, otherwise we are all rich, with a super model as wife, not working all day... Can't be without obstacles right?
When I started learning sport trading it wasn't easy, it took effort, concentration and learning but it worked, where it matters one should always put effort
I think many people look at those who have achieved a high level of success and think it's been easy for them to attain but that's never the case; it's always about hard work, every and consistency. Most people are lazy and don't want to do the work.
The fact that those trading scams work is the evidence people want others to do their work
I agree. People think they're so clever and yet never want to apply that to bettering themselves on anything but a superficial level.
Sometimes being a high achiever career wise comes at a cost too. My father is/was one. Always climbing on corporate leader ladders. Had a dream to build beautiful luxury house. He made it, owns a property wort well over a million, doesn't even have a loan on it any more. Being this ambitions came with a downide though. He was rarely home and when he was he spent it more with his friends having a drink or bicycle championships on the weekends. In the end it lead to a divorce with my mom and family moving out. He currently lives alone in his mansion and is not that happy with all of his choices in life.
I guess the moral of the story is that there needs to be a balance between career high acheving and family. Sometimes earing a shit ton of money comes at the cost of something else.
There's always a cost to being a high achiever, just like there's always a cost to being a low achiever.
I am inspired by this text to say that I believe that I am one of those people who do not enjoy averages and security, but rather fight for survival at work. For each new school year, I have a fund of lessons in a way that only I know, which I always somehow find in timely communication with colleagues, the municipality and students. I believe that negotiations at home are more complicated and difficult than at work, but even there there are some positive developments in the end. It is not said for nothing that you may be appreciated everywhere, but at home you will always be first but from behind.
Having the drive to push forward will always deliver better results. Well done.
In my case, my motivation has always been to improve, both for myself and for my family; knowing that there is more out there than I know gave me a reason to learn. There were always obstacles, but every time I overcame one, I became stronger and had achieved a small victory that helped me climb another step. I always say that life is like a staircase... there are all sorts of steps, and it’s worth climbing them.
I wonder if anyone had the motivation to get worse rather than improve.
If someone wants to ruin their life, they might just do it. It would be self-destructive.
I thought you had a Toyota with all the off road gear? I'm guessing you have more than one truck? Although the Toyota is probably more of an SUV, but over in the US some people still call them trucks.
I do. I have multiple vehicles/trucks which I use for various purposes.
I figured! Your Chevy looks nice!
It's a cracker. Love it. Big 6.2L V8 that sounds like a V8 should. 😉
Wow, nice! My 2500 only has the 6.0L
Loads of power either way. The cool thing about mine is it has bi-modal exhaust meaning a normal setting and a loud setting so I can select the level of sound. It's very cool...and usually stays in loud mode.
Haha, that is cool. My buddy would appreciate that!
