В Закарпатській області й досі не рідкість кінний візок, практично в любому селі ви обов'язково зустрінете конячку, яка запряжена в дерев'яний віз. Як правило володіють таким транспортом цигани, або як тепер треба висловлюватись політкоректно - роми. Використовується гужовий транспорт для самих різноманітних потреб: перевозка вантажів, будівельних матеріалів, товарів, як засіб пересування.

Так до Другої світової війни гужовий транспорт все що відігравав важливу роль в транспортуванні вантажів і пасажирів. Виникнення залізниці в середині 19 століття ознаменувало початок кінця ери гужового транспорту, а бурхливий розвиток моторизованих засобів переміщення у другій половині 20 століття закінчив вищевказану еру остаточно.

Проте у нас в Україні для коротких і невеликих перевезень в сільській місцевості цей вид транспорту досі використовуються. Причому зустрічав я його у всіх областях країни, але, на мій погляд, саме Закарпатська область є лідером давніх кінських возів.
However, in Ukraine, this type of transport is still used for short and small transportation in rural areas. And I met him in all regions of the country, but, in my opinion, the Transcarpathian region is the leader of the ancient horse-drawn carriages.
