Following years of neglect and lack of basic amenities in the Gholan region, many of the youths took to.arms against the federal government. What began like a rag-tag youth organization began to gain more grounds and followers.
At first government sent troops who used crude force in an attempt to quench them. Rather such measure became a solid ground for them to mount persistent resistance.
Now the send has been sown. It has germinated and have started bearing fruits. The boys are now more organized and even have some foreign flavour and backups. This is really going to be a long battle for the government.
Most facilities - critical national infrastructure have been tampered with. Some are even under their control. Several government troops have given their lives over this unfortunate war. The so-called youths are not also spared too as most have also lost their lives in the struggle. This evening emboldens them.
But the solution also lies with the government who have turned both blind and deaf ears to whatever proposals on the ground. The empase have even given rise to displaced persons who now live in IDPs with barely enough food , shelter and medicine to stay awake.
It remains to be seen how the government forces will quell this unwanted monster that has been created, albeit man-made.
