The sad reality from a dream this morning: one should not force love and care on other people. Despite any good intentions, such is life.
Even if you love and care for others, if they reject being loved and cared for, you can't force it on them. And you would think, why would anyone not want to be showered with love and affection? Well, either they don't like you or they just want to be left alone.
Made me think, yeah, it's the same with God/Jesus. If we reject God He cannot do anything about it. We all have free will. And if people choose to reject Him then they freely choose evil, sin and death. 😔 All we can do for them is to pray.
Oh but there is still hope even in extreme cases. Just like when we encounter dangerous or vulnerable wild animals on the road, at the park or at home. Left alone, most people will kill those animals or just ignore 'em until whatever happens. Well there are some that still look cute and cuddly, yet they will treat you harshly if you approach them.

And so, in order to rescue these creatures you need to deal with them nicely. Even if they wanna bite, poison or scratch you, if you are saving them from danger, you gotta be careful in doing it. Depending on the situation, either you call in the experts or find out stat how to get them out of danger safely.
Then again, the love of man is different from God's love. His thoughts and ways are unlike ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). The Lord's love is eternal, enduring and freely given. It is available to all even if there are people who reject it or are still unaware of it. 😉

Amen. This is true. That free will made Adam and Eve fall into sin which we inherit today and it's up to us wether we'll reject Him or not. And I chose to have Him in my life and obey Him.
