It was a story of one closed polling station after another and now another closed polling station. The menace of election disruptions and violence was the order of the day.
A little back story here, the man coming out for elections has a good history of thuggery and violence. He was a brutal governor during his first tenure and now it’s time for another tenure.
The citizens didn’t want him again but he insisted on running for a second tenure. During the campaigns, the citizens weren’t in support and didn’t turnout to support the movement except for those he paid and his thugs.
There was tension everywhere. On the Election Day, the citizens were determined to make their voting right work for them but the incumbent government had their own plans .
They were not willing to back down for any reason and what followed was a chaos where polling stations were burnt down. Ballot papers stolen and voters injured. The polling stations that weren’t in support of the government were closed down one after another but this time by violence.
