The rape cases keep rising and nothing is being done by the people or the government to stop it. In Aba,Nigeria on the 10th of june as early as 4am a house was robbed and the daughter of the family raped. They're trying to keep it as quiet as possible so as not to bring shame to the girl or her family but I know this because I heard her cries and confirmed it,I couldn't do anything. There were people living around this family house but everyone kept calm,if young boys had come out charging with full force am very sure the rape wouldn't have happened. If there was vigilante,something like boycotts for stuffs like this it would not have happened. Thieves and rapists are now growing wings and feel they can do whatever, victims left in the mercy of God. A training centre can be established for women to practice mental and physical self defence and gain knowledge on skills like martial arts,taekwando.
Women can intervene for each other too. We can get whistles and blow it whenever you hear your fellow woman scream for help,this will just to reduce the rate of rape but also domestic violence of men to women.
When the whistles blown every woman in the area comes out charging with whatever they can,clubs,machete whatever sharp object they can carry. Only cowardly men will see a woman do this and not join. When these measures are put in place surely the rate of these crimes will reduce.
