Pasaron los días en la oficina y la rutina se apoderó de todo el piso, Larry un oficinista de junto a mío me invito a una fiesta del trabajo, pensé en declinar la invitación, no tenía tantas ganas de salir noche a tomar cerveza o vino, hasta que dijo algo clave para que yo quisiera aceptar.

Eran las 8 en punto llegue justo a la hora, me mataba la ansiedad de esperar por verla, Larry y los demás eran buenos chicos pero mi interés era claramente por Amber, empezaron a llegar todos y después de unos minutos llegó Amber, me había acostumbrado a verla hermosa con ropa formal de Oficina pero ese día lucia tan increíble con ese vestido negro, en verdad que era todo un angel.
Rápido entramos al restaurante y empezamos con la fiesta, bebidas y comida acompañados de música, un ambiente ideal aunque notaba que todos estaban raros, Amber se me acercó con un sonrisa coqueta y me dijo, te he notado John y se lo que escondes.
Mi corazón se agitó como un tambor, me quedé paralizado por completo, ella me vio y tomó mi mano.
Amber la verdad es que desde hace mucho tiempo me gustas y quiero salir contigo.
Su cara se mostró sonrojda y sorprendida salió casi corriendo, mi corazón se estrujo en mi pecho, tome un trago y me lo tome como si fuera agua, voltee a ver a Larry, su mirada se veía culpable, me senté en un rincón de la barra a tomar, trago tras trago, me acabe yo solo 3 botellas, cuando los pies me empezaron a bailar Larry me tomo y me subió a su carro, me dejó en mi casa recostado en mi sillón, al día siguiente tenia en mi teléfono varios mensajes de Amber pidiendo disculpas, me decía que no había sido su intención el haberse ido pero el pánico no le dio otra alternativa, me confesó que ella igual quería salir conmigo y aunque estaba feliz tenis una monstruosa resaca, que damos para salir pero ahora a cenar sin alcohol de por medio.
