The simple and the novel

And to think that the simple booth to call when it was fashionable, they were the maximum for the time, with just a coin or card we could communicate with the other person. Its operation was simple, usually there were always people waiting to make the call, these booths were located in strategic places.

Now, the technology that does not stop in the advances, created a comfortable phone booth, with air conditioning, good seats and as if it were not enough the video call service, this option to communicate replaces the elementary for something more innovative.

Many times our attention is inclined to the novelty of the moment and we leave aside what was also useful but out of fashion in complete abandonment.

Do you think modernization is really helping things? A lot has changed

Life was much simpler back then with the equipment that we felt made our lives easier. I remember having an old mustard colored telephone that attached to our wall. It contained a long cord that would reach the entire length of the kitchen. We didn't think it could get any better.

Thanks for sharing. Take care.

The modern world has brought us more complex devices. Greetings @justclickindiva.

You know, several years ago I purchased a hand held can opener after my electricity was out for a few days due to a hurricane. After that, I purchased additional non-electric appliances that have served me well.

Take care.

Never had an electric one. Without power many panic, not me, plus it saves energy.

Great you are the proud owner of all those helpful items that do not need electricity.

👍 greetings @wakeupkitty

It certainly does save energy. I was always told to unplug any electric household items when not in use. I never forgot that advice. Also, when shopping I try to find canned goods with the pull tab. They are becoming less available in current years.

Thanks for your visit, engagement, and support @wakeupkitty. I appreciate it. Take care.

I love the old phone booth and used it for a very long time. On Fridays, I used to call several family members to inform them about their week and wish them a great weekend.

They no longer exist, we are forced to have a mobile phone. The emergency phones of the road service are removed too. In this modern world, you are on your own if something happens to you.

🍀❤️

It is true that the simple telephone booths were very useful, but today they have disappeared because now almost everyone has a cell phone. Greetings @wakeupkitty.

Short, but thick with truth!

Hi @deeanndmathews and to think that those simple phone booths today abandoned served to communicate with our family and friends, nowadays, nobody remembers them.

I know... that is why the overgrowth struck me in that booth ... it is still standing, but still, abandoned ...

Abandoned because it's out of fashion :( we shouldn't do that. Such a waste.
