5 Minutes Dailyprompt: MINORITY

in Freewriters11 days ago

Sometimes when you are among the minority, it feels like you are standing very small and you are being intimidated or oppressed.

You can see everyone else blending, speaking their way, moving with confidence, enjoying their life and you are there wondering why your voice never matters at all.

But the most important thing about minority voices is this, sometimes they carry their own stories and experience and wisdom, whereas you are not like everyone else. You notice things that others might overlook, you are more observant, you feel things more deeply, you figure out how to survive with less noise.

I think being in the minority sometimes can teach you how to value yourself in ways that even the people that are in majority groups can never understand. Rather it was being the only person with or starting your own business, having a big dream on your own, building something or just being quiet on your own and sometimes the minority becomes a spark that can change everything.

One story can change a conversation, one challenge can change that whole system and one person can encourage everyone. So yes, being in that minority might feel like you are lonely but the place where self-development grows, it reminds us that when we create impacts, they do not come out of numbers or wanting it comes from truth and sometimes the smallest group holds the biggest light and thinks about.
