"So What" A Good Or Bad English(Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2901)

So what?
They told me back then
And it seems they lied
That “So what” isn’t good English
That it was a tautology
It pulled a trigger in me
I rose in my confusion
And boom, I found a compendium of definitions
And I dug out the truth
That it’s good English
Though casually spoken
Or used in informal writings

That doused my worries
And gave me the boldness
To start using the phrase “so what”
To query things that didn’t align
Things I find awful
Situations I found irritating
People I found misleading
Misrepresenting the true meanings
And the true usage of English

Sometimes I soliloquise
Like a freed man from prison
Oh, yes, I made some damning mistakes, “so what?”
And they concluded I would never change, “so what?”
Worst still, the guards tried to break me, “so what?”
And called me a criminal as if they are perfect, “so what?”
And took my freedom, “so what?”
Thinking prison life would scare me, “so what?”
They refused my family access to me, “so what?”
And keeps talking about my past, “so what?”
And looked at me like I’m gone, “so what”
But the hands of time quickly turned around, “so what?’
And I was discharged and acquitted

Now I am free, free indeed, to use, to tweak the phrase “so what”
