Isn’t it strange how often the things which could potentially cure also hold the potential to destroy? As if the universe must stay in balance no matter what! Thinking of Big Pharma and the like...
We have pain killers that make troubled lives sufferable, a cure for self loathing let’s say, yet may destroy life completely if abused.
Antibiotics which cure infections but also ravage our bodies simultaneously. The more we use them the less effective they become ultimately leading to being completely ineffective for many situations. Having used them inappropriately to cure has allowed the infections to build up immunities comparable to our own, they have destroyed our advantage!
Cancer treatments are probably the most extreme example where we aim to kill the infection by using things that have the potential to do just as much damage to ourselves. The radiation could potential cause further genetic errors/cancers and during those times we take medications to suppress different aspects of our immunity so to not fight the treatment yet exposes us to further infections by our immunity being suppressed.
A little while ago I did a deep dive on “crisper” using virus’s for genetic engineering... got me thinking and looking for how this is possible with the answer being a little bone chilling. All viruses leave some evidence of their existence behind on a genetic level! If one of your ancestors survived a virus you and all your relatives will carry the markers in your DNA.
One thing I discovered is a back of the mind theory... no evidence to support it but many have stated it’s a curiosity worth looking into... since cell replication errors are considered the likely cause of cancer and when testing “crisper” technology they often result in “cancer” like errors more than not, is not the virus making a change to our DNA causing the replication errors? Causing the cancer?
I say it’s a back burner theory because no one is willing to discredit themselves and use the technology and grant money to prove that the technology they are developing is also positioned to further the Big Pharma cash grab in cancer treatments not just cure us. It’s as if they know but cannot directly say more than it is a curiosity otherwise risk loosing the funding which makes it all possible yet these are the very people we are supposed to trust with our lives....
The big part that goes unexplained is how and why did the virus evolve to modify genetic code? What changes within our DNA are viruses responsible for? And the one I really want an answer to...
