Well, during the summer it was just too hot and I turned off my cat's heating pad, but lately its been cold and today I turned it on. Well, I guess my cat noticed and here she is snuggled up into it.
On something related my brother gave me money to order an electric blanket on Amazon. Today it arrived and I hooked it up and turned it on in my brother's room.
After I hooked his new electric blanket in my brother's room, I thought about my cat. She is getting old now days, I think she is about 15 years old now. So she is pretty old, kind of like me I am pretty old too. I am 66 years old as I write.
So I did decide to turn on my cats heating pad. It was given to me from my now late mom. She was worried that my house is just too cold and that the cat might need some extra heat.
I was at my credit union today, and I talked to the guy at the window and said it was hot last week, but this week it is pretty cold. I told him that my brother told me to order an electric blanket. My brother hates to put his card on the internet, but I always do. So I order it for him and he pays me in cash later.
Well anyway the guy in the window at the credit union told me that an electric blanket is the most effecient way to get warm in a cold house. Well, that is good to hear, and I like the part where it uses less electricity than an electric heater.
I did go to the internet and looked up if electric blankets cause house fires. They do cause house fires about 5000 house fires a year a in the United States. But mostly it is because the electric blanket is too old. They mention to not use electric blankets if it is over 10 years old.
One good thing about an electric blanket that you can't use anymore is to just use it as a regular blanket and of course buy a brand new electric blanket that you will plug into the wall.
So the cat has her heating pad on and my brother has his electric blanket on. Hopefully everybody will get a good nights rest.
