Fear not little one, I am watching over you.
My gaze may not be visible but I see your every step.
When I birth you into this world, my empty heart became full,
and I will do anything to keep it that way.
The world is a strange place and everyone looks out for their interest
but I will look out for yours.
But Son, I need you heed my words;
I won't be here forever,
my earthly body would one day fade and give in to the complex calculus of death.
For this I need you to be prepared.
Every man watches his own and I want you to watch yourself
cause in the end, you're all i've got.
I'm emotional as I go through your poem. I can sense how loving as a father the author is. I lost my father last July of this year. 😔
I am sorry to hear that but I know in many ways, he is with you.
I am glad though that my poem was able to reach out to you.
