What I see: A man dressed in a stylized version of an outfit from the Mexican Revolution, his mouth open and his hands positioned as if he is just about to eat, or maybe put a straw in.
What I feel: He is blowing the illusion for those close by, but, he has to have a break sometimes, and because I am familiar with the history of the Mexican Revolution, I know how blessed the moment of eating from his work might be.
Life had been hard for more than a century.
Porfirio Diaz had dispossessed his family in the 1890s for cash crop farmers.
His great-grandfather fought bravely in the Mexican Revolution.
Now, he was the Golden Zapatista, feeding his family through remembrance.
But still, the legacy: one ate whenever one could.
Glad a statue was made of his grandfather to remember his bravery
He IS the living statue of his great-grandfather -- the Golden Zapatista who interacts with the people!
Smile
I get it, missed the "living" part
He's one of those people who act like statues, isn't he?
Yes -- we have them here in San Francisco also! Put money in the can and they will do the most amazing things!
Such a wholesome description of what you see. Excellent way to see it. Have a great day ahead my friend ❤️
Thank you so much!
My pleasure ☺️
it's so beautiful how you interpret what you see even as simple as on the side of the street. Thankyou for sharing this :)
You're welcome!
